Rise of the Ronin contains 113 Treasure Chest Locations. Finding enough Treasure Chests to buy 15 Technology Developments is needed for the Contraption Creator Trophy. None of them are missable, you can still find everything after the story in free-roam.
Some treasure chests require keys. These are usually dropped by Fugitives in the surrounding area, most frequently found at Public Order events. The treasure chests contain books which you can bring to Igashichi Lizuka in Main Region 1: Yokohama (Chapter 1) > Sub-Region: Honcho, at one of the Veiled Banners in the main town. He’s marked on the map. Giving him the books will unlock the Technology Developments.
For trophy purposes you only need enough Treasure Chests until you developed 15 Technology Upgrades. The rest isn’t needed for trophies.

How exactly are you supposed to get to #41? There is an opening close to it but it doesn’t lead to it and I’ve scoured the rest of the building with no luck.
