Vocation Frustration is a side quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Vocation Frustration side mission.
- Starting Location: Vernworth Vocation Guild
- Quest Giver: Klaus
- Requirement: Complete In Dragon’s Wake main quest
- Reward: 1200 XP, 7500 G, Warrior and Sorcerer vocations
- Quest Description: It seems certain vocations are unavailable for registration at the guild hall at present, unless you have the weapons required on hand. Perhaps the townsfolk can tell you more.
Objectives:
- Obtain an archistaff and greatsword
- Take the archistaff and greatsword to the guild
Starting Location
To start this quest, speak with Klaus who runs the Vernworth Vocation Guild.
Obtain an archistaff and greatsword
Klaus suggests speaking with Roderick about the missing weapon shipment. You can head over to Roderick’s Smithy to speak with him.
Roderick points out the location you need to head to find where the goblins. This happens to be Trevo Cave, which you already need to go deal with the goblins for the main quest Monster Culling, so you may have already done this.
To find the greatsword, follow the linear path until there is a split, then take the right path. Ahead there will be a larger room with a black chest, inside of which you can find the Two-Hander greatsword.
To find the archistaff, from the room with the above greatsword go through the door to the left of the chest. This leads to another large room with a bunch of bridges (the lower level of where you meet the soldiers for the Monster Culling main quest). Go to the bottom of the area and go into the dark path on the east of the room. This leads to a lower dead-end spot with another black chest that contains the Grievous Horns archistaff.
Take the archistaff and greatsword to the guild
Once you’ve obtained both weapons, you can head back to Klaus at the guild and hand in the weapons to unlock the ability to switch to the Sorcerer and Warrior vocations.
NOTE: This gives Klaus the item you are using to complete the objective, so if you are in NG+ or managed to get an item outside of the specific objective you will lose it, so don’t present an item you want to keep.
This finishes the Vocation Frustration side quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
