Introduction
Welcome to the Granblue Fantasy Relink Trophy Guide! This game is the long-awaited action RPG spinoff in the Granblue series from Cygames. The Platinum is very lengthy at around 80-100 hours. The main story including Chapter Ø takes around 25 hours. The side content is around 50-60 hours and consists of some collectibles and a lot of side quests. Then you will need another 5-10 hours to play through Ultimate difficulty via Chapter Select. None of these are missable thanks to Chapter Select and the Quest Counter.
Step 1: Play Through the Story and Chapter Ø [25 Hours]
Your first step is to complete the story on any difficulty. This can be done on the easiest difficulty (“Story Difficulty”). You can also enable Full Assist Mode which performs attacks automatically by tilting the left stick in the direction of an enemy. If you want you can already do side content during the story, but nothing is missable thanks to Chapter Select. All side quests can still be done after the story. The story takes around 15 hours with Chapter Ø being around another 10 hours. The game has a total of 11 Chapters.
The main collectibles are the 45 Wee Pincers, all of them are required for a series of 15 side quests. It makes sense to grab them during the first playthrough for their quest rewards, but if you don’t want to deal with them now you can still grab them in the Ultimate difficulty playthrough or via Chapter Select.
Step 2: Cleanup remaining Side Quests / Side Content and complete The Final Report [50-60 Hours]
After you beat the Final Chapter you will be in Chapter Ø which is semi-post-game. Here you can complete side quests & collectibles you haven’t done yet. The endgame content is best done after finishing Chapter Ø as you will need to be a pretty high level. It doesn’t matter in what order you play side content in.
Throughout the post-game cleanup, stick with 1 team you like and have the Protagonist (Gran/Djeeta) on the team. This will help level them up in preparation for Ultimate difficulty. Some story chapters require you to play as the Protagonist throughout the whole chapter, so not having them leveled up would complicate things on the Ultimate difficulty run.
For Side Content cleanup refer to the following guides:
- 110 Side Quests
- 10 Locked Treasure Chests
- 176 Treasures
- 45 Wee Pincers (can also grab them during Ultimate Difficulty run)
Step 3: Ultimate Difficulty [5-10 Hours]
Ultimate Difficulty is unlocked directly after you finish Chapter Ø, and all chapters can be completed using Chapter Select so there is no need to start a New Playthrough. You will need to at least have an entire party of Max level 100 characters as most of the bosses are around level 100 and above. It is also advised to keep investing mastery points into the characters you want to use for Ultimate Mode to save time on grinding. Also since the Protagonist (Gran or Djeeta) is required for some of the Chapters it’s recommended to keep them on your team at all times through the game so they are sufficiently leveled for later. If you still need any Wee Pincers you can collect them during this run. While the official trophy description says Ultimate must only be completed up to Chapter Ø, you will actually need to complete Chapter Ø to pop the trophy.

Once these requirements have been fulfilled, the quest will automatically unlock at the Quest Counter. If you made it this far your team will surely be enough for this quest. |
||
The Ultimate Complete the main story up to Chapter Ø on Ultimate difficulty |
||
Ultimate Difficulty is unlocked directly after you finish Chapter Ø, and all chapters can be completed using Chapter Select so there is no need to start a New Playthrough.

Leave It to Me Achieve an S++ quest evaluation for the first time |
||
To obtain an S++ evaluation you will have to complete a quest in a very short time as well as complete most if not all of the Side Goals. If you are having trouble obtaining an S++ Rank you can wait until you are over-leveled and come back to the quest later and it should be effortless.

|
||
I Try to Help Complete a side quest for the first time |
||
Unlocked after completing your first Side Quest.
Sharpshooter Destroy all guided projectiles of an enemy barrage using a single Charged Shot from an ether cannon in Chapter 4 of the main story |
||
During the start of chapter 4 as soon as you defeat the first wave of enemies on the ship run straight towards the Ether Cannon on the right side. Charge the Charged Shot, shoot it in the middle of all of the Red Projectiles shot out of one of the cannons aimed at the ship. The hitbox for them is pretty big so it shouldn’t be too hard. You will get 2 chances to do this during Chapter 4. If you miss it you can pause and hit “Return to Previous Checkpoint” to try again. Alternatively, can still do it after the story through Chapter Select.
Cannon Crusher Destroy all enemy cannons in Chapter 4 of the main story |
||
During Chapter 4 there will be 3 Red Ships that you will need to board and destroy. The Control Unit of each ship has 4x 20mm Auto-Cannons for a total of 12.
All 12 cannons must be destroyed for the trophy. They are easy to see (2 on each side of the ship). Prioritize destroying the cannons over fighting the enemies. Also destroy the Control Unit of each ship before the Red Ship Escapes. If you miss any of the cannons you can pause and hit “Return to Previous Checkpoint” to try again. Alternatively, can still do it after the story through Chapter Select. |
||
Child of Darkness and Flames Defeat Angra Mainyu without taking any damage while controlling Proto Bahamut in Chapter 8 of the main story |
||
The Angra Mainyu fight happens at the end of Chapter 8. Beating this without taking damage may seem hard but it’s not too bad as it just repeats the same attack pattern. When it’s not shooting Light Orbs, attack with . When it does shoot Light Orbs you can use Light Blast with . You can also use Assist mode if you are having trouble with the fight. If you take damage you can pause and hit “Return to Previous Checkpoint” to try again, but note that this will return you to the previous checkpoint and it puts you back two boss fights. Alternatively, can still do it after the story through Chapter Select.
Primeval Dragon Defeat Bahamut Versa Omega without taking any damage while controlling Proto Bahamut in Chapter Ø of the main story |
||
The Bahamut Versa Omega fight happens right at the end of Chapter Ø. It’s very similar to the fight in Chapter 8 in how you control and attack, but is a lot more difficult. You can also use Assist mode if you are having trouble with the fight. If you take damage you can pause and hit “Return to Previous Checkpoint” to try again. Alternatively, can still do it after the story through Chapter Select.
About to Full Burst Trigger a full burst in battle (excluding certain battles) |
||
This trophy should come naturally during the story, you unlock the Full Burst ability while facing the Quakadile during Chapter 1. To activate it you will need to unleash all party members’ Skybound Arts together to achieve a full burst.
Don’t Think It Goes Higher Than That Deal more than 999,999 damage with a chain burst in battle |
||
You won’t get this until extremely late into the Postgame or even ultimate mode as you will need to be high level for this to be able to hit 999,999 damage. There are some ways to increase the amount of damage you can deal with a Chain Burst. The first is having Crew SBA Mode on Hold as you will want to be doing a Full Burst for this to deal the most amount of damage. You will also want to try and hit a Link Time with all of your party members and yourself at 100% SBA Gauge, that way you can get a damage increase buff. Another bonus is trying to group multiple bosses or enemies. There are a few quests that have multiple bosses in Maniac or you can do a Survive or Defend quest for a heap of normal enemies.
In Perfect Sync Enter link time in battle (excluding Training) |
||
This trophy should come naturally during the story, Link Time is activated when you perform a Link Attack ( ) while the Link Gauge is at 100%.
Chain Burst Champion Activate chain bursts 100 times in battles (excluding certain battles) |
||

No Holding Back Unleash Skybound Arts 10 times in battles (excluding certain battles) |

Field Medic Revive allies 5 times |
||
This trophy should come naturally during the story. When a character gets knocked out after HP goes to 0 you will be able to revive by pressing next to them. Repeat this 5 times to unlock the trophy.
It’s Called Skill Use skills 50 times in battles |
||
This trophy should come naturally during the story, to use a skill hold and press either , , or .
Buff Buffet Use buffing skills to grant status effects to allies 20 times in battles |
||

Debuff Deluge Use debuffing skills to inflict status ailments on foes 20 times in battle |

I Will Survive Use 50 potions |
||
During battle, you will have Potions crafted for you and you can use them by holding down any of the corresponding buttons on the D-pad. Your party members can also use them which counts towards the trophy. Once 50 of them have been used throughout the game, the trophy will unlock.
Give Me Something to Break Put foes into Break 5 times in battles (excluding certain battles) |
||
This trophy should come naturally during the story. To put a foe into ‘Break’ you will need to increase its Overdrive Mode Gauge to max (by consistently dealing damage), and then decrease the Gauge back down by Attacking it to enter Break Mode. Repeat this 5 times to unlock the trophy.

||
Unlocks after completing any characters Fate Epilogue.
Refer to Fate Can’t Wait for more information. |
||
Push It to the Limit Raise a character to level 100 |
||
Level 100 is the max level in the game and this trophy will most likely come naturally as you do all the other Post-Game Content. The bosses and enemies in the endgame are all really high levels and give a lot of XP. It doesn’t matter with which character you reach Level 100, it doesn’t need to be the Protagonist or the character you are currently playing. After reaching max level you will receive Knicknack Vouchers and Mastery Points instead of further level-ups.
I Like It When Numbers Go Up Acquire a total of 100,000 rupies |
||
This trophy should come naturally during Chapter Ø, as you earn a lot of Rupies from completing the Quests required to continue the story. This counts cumulatively. You don’t need 100,000 Rupies at the same time. You are allowed to spend Rupies throughout the game and they will still count towards the trophy.
Crabs Are Neat Find 20 wee pincers |
||
Unlocked after finding any 20 out of the 45 Wee Pincers throughout the Story. While for this trophy you only need 20, for Platinum you will still need ALL 45 Wee Pincers as they are needed for 15 Side Quests (all side quests are required for Nothing Is Impossible!).
Closer to the Truth Find 30 archive entries |
||
There are 75 Archive entries total: 62 Normal Documents, 8 Records of a Handyman (automatically given during Chapter Ø), and 5 Classified Records (from Zathaba for Apraisning Curios).
The Normal Documents look like purple shining orbs. They are pretty easy to spot. By picking up everything you see during the story you should get more than enough for this trophy. You only need any 30 of 75 total Archive entries for this. |
||
Treasure Hunter Open 50 treasure chests (excluding town chests) |
||
There are 168 Treasure Chests total and they are all pretty easy to spot during the story. None are hidden so as long as you are opening every one you see you will obtain the trophy with no problem by the end of the game.
Unlocked and Unloaded Open all locked treasure chests |
||
Unlocked after finding and opening all 10 Locked Treasure Chests in Folca and Seedhollow.
» Granblue Fantasy Relink All Locked Treasure Chest Locations |
||
Practice Makes Perfect Get some practice in with Sir Barrold |

No Cap Uncap a weapon at the blacksmith |
||
This trophy should come naturally during the story. You can uncap a weapon at the blacksmith once you reach its current max level. The earliest you can do this is at the start of chapter 4 and you will already have the materials to do so.
Knickknack Shack Regular Use Siero’s Treasure Trade to complete 10 trades |

falsaai says
I came here twice today to see if you guys will release a guide for this game. Thank you. It’s nice to see that there’s no missable trophies. Will use this guide after my first blind playthrough!
Anonymous says
Thank you for the trophy guide. While the difficulty is fine and no missable trophies is good, I am disappointed that a single character is locked behind multiplayer, meaning I would have to pay for PS Plus to earn the Platinum trophy, which I usually avoid (unless I’m really compelled to play a single-player game that unfortunately has multiplayer trophies). I was hoping this game was going to be a semi-open world action-adventure JRPG (like Tales of Arise), but it seems obvious now that it’s an action game with a story that can supposedly be completed in 12 hours, which isn’t for me.
Max says
Chapter 2 i have opened all 20 treasure chest, but only marked 19/20
one of the treasure bugged, i guess is from the time limit treasure in the burning village
Dawn says
How is Ultimate difficulty for a newcomer to action games like this? I’d like the Platinum trophy but the difficulty mode requirements and take no damage trophies are concerning.
Jerry says
It’s basically a rpg game. Your status is more important than your action. If you had grinded long enough it will be easy. That’s what I find out about this game from release.
dbfighter says
The crewmate card also bugged for me on ps5, didn’t receive one after unlocking Extreme difficulty despite the game claiming it was a reward
Bloodbeast says
Also curious how hard hard mode is? Game looks like a fun plat tho otherwise
LuckySlime says
i assume you mean ultimate difficulty? but its not to bad if you leave it till last since you will have the best gear possible and be max level
Gediminas says
when ”Extreme Quest Difficulty” is unlocking? it is possible to prepare for it?
LuckySlime says
yes, you can prepare for it for as long as you want until you feel you are ready to do it
naoneko says
main story has only hard -> ultimate
extreme -> maniac -> proud difficulty through various quests from quest counter
Noir says
Always the fastest and best guides. Thanks a lot. I will play the game by myself first and then use the guide if needed. 🙂
Tama says
Where’s Wepon Locations?
LuckySlime says
its still in the works as my save got bugged and i don’t have all characters so i have to save scum for info on the other character im sorry, but most of the weapons are available at the blacksmith
Lia says
Am I correctly assuming that if one does not have a ps+ subscription than the player is locked out of obtaining a platinum for this game?
Gediminas says
Rewards Issues:
・When a player clears a fate episode quest by restarting from a game over, if the player then continues on to another quest and unlocks a new quest difficulty, the rewards for unlocking that new quest difficulty may not be given.
・After getting the message about rewards for unlocking a new quest difficulty, if the player closes the game without saving, those rewards may no longer be obtainable upon reloading.
・Side quest rewards may not be given when playing on Ultimate difficulty from chapter select.
We’re working on an update that will allow affected players to obtain the rewards they should have earned.
Benya says
Hi, you need something for unlock the awakning weapon ?, i have 2 weapon 150 and a don’t have the option.
LuckySlime says
you need to max a weapon with the “ascension weapon” title to max level and then you will unlock the ability to awaken them at Siero’s Knickknack Shack
Michael says
How do I get the gold tickets for gold Dalia Badges?
LuckySlime says
you get them from quests and by playing quick quest in offline mode by doing 3 quick quests in offline mode you will revive 1 gold ticket
Promise says
The sixth weapon needs to defeat level 150 EndGame Boss.
And it is random drop and random character
Ultimate difficulty story is harder than weapon(Lyria’s Journal)?
Tris says
For the crewmate card bug, save your game on PS+ before continue story mission to unlock extreme difficulty. After the mission check your inventory, if you don’t have a card load your save and do it again.
It works for me
The story mission start when you have 6/8 notes
Barooth says
i’m not that far yet, the 6/8 notes is a pretty noticeable point in the story then i guess? so more or less unmissable if you know that you are looking for that exact mission start?
Ram says
Hello…I think the ultimate trophy is bugged…I complete every single mission from prologue to the finale and I didn’t get trophy!!! do I have to complete chapter 0 too?
Ram says
I finished chapter 0 and trophy popped.
Pana says
“If you take damage you can pause and hit “Return to Previous Checkpoint” to try again. Alternatively, can still do it after the story through Chapter Select.”
Might be useful to mention that if you return to previous checkpoint, it puts you back two boss fights. Yeah, the fights aren’t hard, but it takes FOREVER to get another attempt.
PowerPyx says
Added a note, thanks <3
Barooth says
the recent patch (1.04) should fix the Crewmember Card bugs according to the devs
Danny says
For the trophy “Don’t Think It Goes Higher Than That”
I’ve done three times with the chain burst 1mil+ of damage and trophy won’t popped
LuckySlime says
some people have told me its bugged for others and then also not bugged for some people a patch is supposed to release today that should fix it though
ThatoneguyJB says
It’s got to be one of the moves leading up to and not total damage that comes up at the end, I had the same issue.
Benya says
Anyone know why on the weapon journal, it’s need 115, but with all weapon for all character it’s 114 weapon.
Jia says
Might be the sword from deluxe edition
Valkeri says
i think the weapon you missin is the False Sword of the Apocalypse which is a paid dlc weapon. Pretty retarded to lock platinum behind dlc content.
Benya says
I hope not
Jaume says
It’s still needed for the trophy the dlc weapon?
Michael says
When going for collectibles do I need to finish the chapter for it to count or can I just quit?
LuckySlime says
you can just quit and they will still count
Ram says
I can confirm that you can’t get platinum without having ( special edition or deluxe edition) of the game because for some reason developers decide to put one of the weapons in those editions of the game.(if u got standard edition of the game you have to pay $30 to get your platinum)
Benya says
That’s a bullshit, i hope a update for corrected that
dark-freefire says
so all the 15 platinum achivers on psnprofiles have the deluxe edition then i guess?….
ok says
no thats a lie, you can get the weapon from quests after finishing game
Kraken says
You don’t need the deluxe edition onto get platinum. You get all the final weapons from competing all proud quests unlocking the final quest. This has a chance to drop one of the weapons for each character.
Ram says
is it really hard for you to do math? each character has 6 weapon so 6×19=114 so where is the last weapon?
Kraken says
Wait, ignore this comment. I read the wrong weapon. I have no idea on this. There are some forums and post from developers. Will have to wait and see how they respond
Benya says
I got the trophy without the weapon DLC, but some other player don’t get it. Meaby a bug with zone of the game.
Nomade says
For me I still miss a monster, a treasure and I can’t figure out where they are…but this DLC weapon, I have my doubts
Tris says
I can confirm it is a bug or you miss something because i still get a trophy even my weapon is 114/115 and i buy a standard edition
Sam says
Can you elaborate? Did you start with Djeeta or Gran? I’ve got my Log full except 1 weapon entry 114/115 and shits not unlocking
max says
It looks like there is a different starting weapon Traveler’s Sword for Gran and Partenza for Djeeta. And weapon field note work only with Djeeta weapon (from what I saw in the web). Can anyone confirm this?
Any info or news if this issue will be addressed?
jorr1313 says
Ditto this. I started with Gran and would love to know if I’m screwed or not before I grind for 50hrs to get all the Terminus Weapons.
Popaguy says
Just wanted to correct something, you CAN get Gold Dahlia Badges from offline Quick Quest – It’s random and takes a very long time.
Technically, though, there are therefore no online only trophies and the platinum can be obtained without PS+ ????
Mira says
Do you absolutely NEED to play with other people to get the platinum for this, or can do you the multiplayer quests solo? Needing to play with others would absolutely kill this game for me and bump the platinum right up to a 10 because I can never find anyone to play with =/
Sam says
I played entirely offline, the grind for the Gold Dalia badges was really bad. Best thing to do is set the game to full assist on story difficulty and just afk each run. Quit out of missions that require you to move or maniac+ since it disables assists.
took about 10 hours to get 7 Gold Badges.
max says
Will the guide be updated?
The Crewmate Card bug has been addressed in the latest update.
Also, no info on the weapon locations and potential bug with collecting all weapons and not getting the trophy.
LuckySlime says
yes, im working on finishing it atm everything should be updated by the end of the week
ReiAlternative says
The Reminiscence trophy seems to be bugged for me.
I have completed all 5 entries 100% and even got the special edition dlc sword 115/115.
My last treasure was the “Ukhar Core”. I got it and I abandoned quest. 176/176. Nothing popped. If anyone has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it!
Bob Ross says
Are Terminus weapons needed for the weapon’s section of Lydia’s journal for Reminiscence ?
Promise says
Need to defeat lv150 Boss to get 19 weapons.
Aero says
Reminiscence trophy can get bugged this making the platinum unobtainable. Thus making you start a new game file if you really want the platinum. But good luck playing for another extra 100 hours. As to what causes the trophy to glitch out i unknown.
Have to wait for a patch or start a new game and gamble that it wont bug out again.
Aero says
Il take my words back, Fate quest items are needed as well. Got my platinum
nova says

Is the ultimate trophy bugged ?? I made all chapters and prologue in difficult ultimate but thophy didnt pop

The trophy’s description is not accurate. You need to complete chapter 0 on Ultimate difficulty as well.

You should add (highly luck dependent) to approximate amount of time to platinum.
Terminus weapons Is a rare drop from the last proud quest, I lost count how many time I completed this quest to get all weapons (probably more than 250)
Also the rainbow slime is a rare monster required for the field notes trophy, I farmed the Slimepede quest for 10 hours until it appeared to me

It’s official, the platinum bug is fixed in patch 1.1:
・Fixed a bug that prevented players from obtaining The Ultimate trophy/achievement. It will unlock upon returning to a town.

I updated, logged in and when the game loaded, it didn’t give me the trophy. Do I need to play from prologue to epilogue in ultimate again?

Not sure if anyone else has brought this up with you but the trophy “Reminiscence” is highly RNG dependent regardless of the weapon drops. The foes section of the journal is NOT a given after you have finished everything else, the rare spawn “Prismatic slime” is extremely rare and you must have gotten very lucky without even realizing it and found one without even knowing. I am not sure of the spawn chance as I have not been lucky enough yet but it is LOW and farming one in the mission “Slimepede” (The best way I am aware of…) could add another dozen hours or even more to the completion time. Just wanted to share this info with others who may end up as confused and frustrated as I was. Not sure if you wanted to adjust your guide.
