Introduction
Welcome to the Assassin’s Creed Origins: The Curse of the Pharaohs DLC Trophy Guide! This new expansion takes place in the territory of Thebes and has a total of ten new regions to explore. This DLC also raises the level cap from 45 to 55 and has a lot of quests and locations for you to explore.
Step 1: Play and finish the Story
Enjoy this additional Chapter of Bayek’s journey. If you feel a bit underlevelled for some of the boss-fights, there is no shame in backing out and getting some additional XP with Side Quests and completing locations.
Each level you gain will give you more health and damage. Every skill point can be invested to your advantage. Each gear and weapon upgrade will ease your journey, too.
Step 2: Level 55 & Serqet Locations
Use the new Side Quests, which pop up after the Story to easily gain XP and to fully level up. This will make completing the Serqet locations much easier.
Assassin’s Creed Origins: The Curse of the Pharaohs DLC Trophy Guide
Lift the Curse Defeat Tutankhamun in the Afterlife (The Curse of the Pharaohs) |
||
This is the only story-related trophy of this DLC. To obtain it, you have to complete the following quests:
Higher Power Reach level 55 (The Curse of the Pharaohs) |
||
The original level cap of 40 has been raised twice. The first DLC (The Hidden Ones) raised it to 45 and this second DLC allows you to level up even further. It’s not a bad idea to start this DLC with your level being over 45 – maybe you have some side quests from the first DLC left undone, they yield decent XP. Generally speaking, all things from this DLC give most XP, from the first DLC a bit less and from the Main Game even less so. Completing locations here in Thebes all give at least 900 XP and up to 3.000 for the outposts. If you complete all Main and Side Quests from this DLC and complete the locations as well, you should be very close to level 55 in the end. Sadly, if you played in between the two level-cap raises, all XP earned has gone to waste and won’t count for you. If you just start this game fresh – good for you, because now all XP will count and you should be at level 55 even quicker. |
||
Dark Horse Acquire Eternal Maw for use outside the Afterlives (The Curse of the Pharaohs) |
||
Once you have completed the Main Story of this DLC (see quests linked above), you can obtain the horse from the Afterlives simply by buying it. Fast-Travel to the village Set-Ma’at (east of the Valley of the Kings), there are horse-stables right next to where you will appear. Simply go to this merchant and scroll through the horses he is selling. Pick Eternal Maw for 5.000 coins and the trophy is yours. |
||
Sting in the Tale Complete the 5 Serqet locations (The Curse of the Pharaohs) |
||
See this guide: All Serqet Locations.
Project Comet Craft an upgrade using Shards of a Star (The Curse of the Pharaohs) |
||
Shards of Stars are a new type of resource only to be found in the Afterlives of this DLC. They are best found in the region of Aaru and can be farmed off the large scorpions roaming the area. Killing them will give you two Shards each. The cheapest upgrade you can craft would be the Quiver – it costs 5 Pelt, 20 Cedarwood and 20 Shards. Doing so will give you this trophy. Upgrading any other piece of your gear works just as fine. |
||
Pyromaniac Kill a Mummy by setting it on fire (The Curse of the Pharaohs) |
||
If you visit one of the Afterlife-sections from the Valley of the Kings, there will be many hostile dog-like-looking guards roaming around. Simply pick a victim of your choice and let fire-damage deal the killing “blow” on your target. If it doesn’t work for you the first time – keep trying, there will be enough guards around to get this trophy. It will probably come naturally while playing. |

Far Cry 5 says
I had issue with MAW horse because it is not there in stables. (I owned Xbox One version). So just complete whole main story then buy horse? I see some people had issue with this like me there no horse in stables no matter if complete story or not. :/
dalailama1989 says
Have you tried other stables/merchants in Thebes? Or maybe even in Sinai or the Main Game?
Far Cry 5 says
I havent try Main Game but does it selling there?
Eric says
I did’t the Sting in the Tale trophy after completing the last Serqet location. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
Shelby says
Did you figure this out? bc i think i know how to help if you haven’t yet.
hans says
I have the same problem. I completing all Serqet Location and didn’t get the outfit or the trophy. In the official forums are plenty of post from users with the same problem.
@Shelby: Do you know how to fix it?
Zastai says
Note that you also get shards from risen pharaohs. So you can get a decent amount just from killing those as you go about your questing business.
Steven A. says
So using the boast to level 45 won’t negate any of the trophies?
