Diablo 4 Dry Steppes All Side Quest Locations

Diablo 4 has 38 Side Quests in the region of Dry Steppes. Each Side Quest will grant 30 Renown for the region, as well as various rewards. Some quests will require you use a gesture. Most quests are available from simply speaking to a person marked by a blue ! on the map. Some will require previous quests to be completed before they become available, and some will start upon picking up a particular quest item that can drop in certain areas. There are actually 39 Side Quests, but only 38 are required to get all of the Renown.

Kotama Grasslands

1 – Dust Daisy
Pick up Dust Daisy, which can drop when searching herbs in Kotama Grasslands. Head to Ked Bardu and speak to Jaral.

2 – Corroding Mettle
Inside Ked Bardu, available when first arriving. Head to Jirandai and speak with Ordun, thne go the quest marker. Search the area for Khada, then return to Ordun.

3 – Thieves’ Famine
Inside Ked Bardu, available when first arriving. Kill Bandit enemies in the marked area to collect 20 Stolen Supplies.

4 – Crucible of Worth
Inside Ked Bardu, available when first arriving. Head to the marked area and collect the axe on the cliff, then return. Head to the marked areas and kill Oppressors for a horn and search Glittering Ore Veins for silver quartz.

5 – Malign Devotion
Inside Ked Bardu, available when first arriving. Head to Alzuuda and speak to Lakren. Go to the marked area and enter Lost Monument Crypt, then kill Lakren.

6 – Hunger for a New Life
Inside Farobru, available after progressing Act III. Enter Zolaya’s Hideout and grab the herbs, then return.

Tusmaa Rift

7 – Reject the Mother
In Abahru Canyon, after progressing Act III. Head to the marked area and use the No gesture.

8 – Strange Ore Sample
Pick up Strange Ore Sample, which can drop when searching Ore Veins in Tusmaa Rift. Bring it to Gerti.

9 –  No Deed Unpunished
In Tusmaa Rift, available after progressing Act III. Head to the marked area and search for and kill the Caged Cultist.

Dindai Flats

10 – Exhuming Faith
In Orbei Monastery, available when first arriving. Head to the marked area and search for the trail markers, then kill Izzoth the Deceiver.

11 – Firsthand Knowledge
In The Forlorn Tread, available when first arriving. Head to the marked areas until you arrive at the Family Cellar. Enter and defeat Nurbolat.

The Scarred Coast

12 – Sealed Penitent’s Cache
Pick up Sealed Penitent’s Cache, which is dropped by enemies in Ragged Shore. Kill Undead in the marked area to harvest spirit energy.

13 – The Unlucky Ones
In Tamuur Hinterland, available when first arriving. Kill 50 zombies within The Scarred Coast.

Khargai Crags

14 – Scorched Debts
In Bastard’s Pass, available when first arriving. Pick up the ledger and travel to the marked area to kill Andreea. Head to Ked Bardu and speak to the three people, then go to the marked area in Crown of Fiends and search for Lyruk. Head to the summoning ritual and kill Orrostus.

15 – Sealed Oxen Tribe Cache
Pick up Sealed Oxen Tribe Cache, dropped by enemies in The Crown of Fiends. Kill Vile Ones in the marked area to harvest demon fury.

The Onyx Watchtower

16 – Kith and Kin
In The Onyx Watchtower, available after conquering the Stronghold. Kill Skeletons in the marked area for 15 Personal Effects.

17 – A Pound of Flesh
In The Onyx Watchtower, available after conquering the Stronghold. Head to the Ragged Encampment in the marked area and kill the bandits for the key. Enter Borza’s Hideout and kill Borza and Nizaar.

Jakha Basin

18 – Sentimental Value
In Hidden Overlook, after progressing Act III. Head to the quest marker in Desolation’s Reach and search the marked areas, then kill Orsolya.

19 – What Remains
In Hidden Overlook, after progressing Act III. Head to Farobru and speak to Yeshi. Head to the quest marker and kill Hungry Bloodhawk, then return.

Chambatar Ridge

20 – Weight of Sin
In The Boiling Plains, available when first arriving. Head to the marked areas and search for the bracelets on charred remains.

21 – Curious Curios
In The Boiling Plains, available when first arriving. Search pots in the marked area for the correct one, then speak to Rakhaan.

22 – Hunting the Relic Hunter
In Fate’s Retreat, available after completing Curious Curios. Head to the quest marker in Foothills of Saraan and speak to Abaan, then slay the skeletons.

23 – Treasure or Trash
In Fate’s Retreat, available after completing More Than Meets the Eye. Grab the ring, then kill demons in the marked area for demon essences.

24 – In the Name of Love
In Fate’s Retreat, available after completing Act III. Enter Whispering Vault dungeon and search for the Cleaver.

 

The Accursed Wastes

25 – More Than Meets the Eye
In Foothills of Saran, available after completing Hunting the Relic Hunter. Head to the quest marker and enter Saraan Caldera. Redirect the light beams, then head further in and kill Overseer Kafan.

Untamed Scarps

26 – Keeping the Old Traditions
In Desolation’s Reach, available when first arriving. Head to the marked area and use the Yes gesture.

27 – Augury of Bones
In Desolation’s Reach, available when first arriving. Collect 3 Bone Dust in the marked area by killing Skeletons.

28 – Hubris Smiles Back
Automatically started after completing Augury of Bones. Speak to Ogai and enter Grinning One dungeon. Kill Fallen and collect 5 Baneful Oblations.

29 – Salt Begets Salts
In Jirandai, available when first arriving. Head to the marked area and search for Tuji’s body, then return.

30 – Blistered Heart
In Jirandai, available when first arriving. Head to the marked area and kill Spiders until the broodmother spawns, then kill her for the Spider Queen Heart.

31 – Tarnished Amulet
Pick up Tarnished Amulet, which is dropped by Cannibals in Untamed Scarps. Return it to Yinsuk Shrine.

32 – Culling of Flesh
In Crane Tribe Hutmoot, available when first arriving. Kill 50 Cannibals in the marked area.

33 – Consumed by Pride
In Crane Tribe Hutmoot, available when first arriving. Go to the marked area and search for a Mutilated Barbarian corpse, then return.

34 – Raising Spears
Started automatically after completing Consumed by Pride. Enter Champion’s Demise dungeon and collect 8 Blood-etched Spears.

35 – Fury Against Fate
Started automatically after completing Raising Spears. Speak with Ealda at Crane Tribe Hutmoot, then enter Wasting Hollow and kill all cannibals.

36 – Worthy of Arreat
In Crane Tribe Hutmoot, available after completing Fury Against Fate. Enter Ancient’s Lament and find the Ancient Crane Sword on a dead barbarian, then go to Ked Bardu.

37 – Currencies From Afar
Pick up Bag of Old Coins, which is found on searchable corpses in Untamed Scarps. Bring it the Gesur in Jirandai.

Qara Yisu

38 – Phases of the Moon
In Ruins of Qara-Yisu, available after conquering the Stronghold. Kill Khazra in the marked area to collect 25 Khazra Bones.

39 – Blood and Sweat
In Ruins of Qara-Yisu, available after conquering the Stronghold. Search the marked area for a Crude Doll, then take it to Tuya.
