Horizon Forbidden West: How to Start Burning Shores DLC

Wondering how to start the Burning Shores DLC in Horizon Forbidden West? There are a few simple steps you must follow:

1. First you must buy the Burning Shores DLC from PlayStation Store, it costs $20 and is 17GB in size. The DLC is only available on PS5, not on PS4.
2. Make sure you also download Patch 1.021.000 (or newer) for Forbidden West PS5 version. This is mandatory to make the DLC playable. v.1.021.000 is 14GB but newer patches may vary in size. You can tell that it worked when it shows a “Burning Shores” logo in the title screen, top right corner.
3. You must have finished the story in the Main Game of Forbidden West. If you started a new playthrough in New Game+ you must again finish the story in New Game+.
4. Load up your completed story save of Forbidden West. Now you will receive a “thank you” message for installing the DLC.
   
5. Upon loading your save you will get a call from a character called “Sylens” and a new Main Quest called “To The Burning Shores”. Make sure you track this quest by pressing Touchpad > Quests > Main > To The Burning Shores (Level 38). It leads to Tilda’s Mansion, simply follow the quest markers to embark to the Burning Shores DLC area.
