Dead Island 2 Creature Comforts Walkthrough

Creature Comforts is a Side Quest in Dead Island 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Creature Comforts side mission.

Requirement: Having Finished the entire Main Story (After Main Quest #24: Hollywood Ending)
Reward: 3,000 XP, Peggy x1
Mission Info: Curtis Sinclair is a man of expensive tastes, and he knows his recently deceased neighbors have waht he’s hankering for! The offer of a fancy weapon is on the table if you go search some Bel-Air homes for vintage bottles of whiskey and wine.

Objectives:

Curtis wants some fancy whiskey. Search Colt Swanson’s home
Sniff out the 18-year-old Ardkillin whiskey in Colt’s home
The whiskey was stored in the guest bedroom, so search there
The whiskey’s in the safe! Check the display room for Cindy’s safe key
Grab Cindy’s safe key
Crack the bedroom safe and get the Ardkillin whiskey
Curtis wants some vintage wine. Search the “GOAT Pen”
Get inside the “GOAT Pen’s” wine room
Pick out the “Maison Sang-Vivant” wine for Curtis
Mop up the enraged GOAT Pen zombies!
Swipe cigars from the master bedroom of the “GOAT Pen”
Deliver Curtis’ order of luxury goods

Starting Location: Creature Comforts

This quest is only available after the story. It starts in the Bel-Air HQ, there will be a blue quest marker for it. Talk to Curtis.

Once you have spoken to Curtis and the dialogue has completed, you will be given two objectives straight away. For the purpose of this walkthrough, we will first search Colt Swanson’s home. 2nd will be the GOAT Pen.

Curtis wants some fancy whiskey. Search Colt Swanson’s home

As soon as you leave the house from speaking with Curtis, jump over the gate and head straight across the street and up the stairs. You will arrive at the entrance to Colt’s home. It’s the house from the start of the game where you first entered Bel-Air, in the north of the map.

Sniff out the 18-year-old Ardkillin whiskey in Colt’s home.

You have to find the whiskey within the house. Collect the ‘Ardkillin Delivery’ note from the counter in front of you.

The wine cellar is just next to the dining room. Enter and collect the ‘Last Call‘ note off the barrel.

The whiskey was stored in the guest bedroom, so search there

Leave the house to the left from the dining room/cellar and head to the right, go upstairs and all the way around to the right where you will need to tackle some zombies and then enter back into the house.

Be careful as you enter as there are rigged shotgun traps, so navigate around them.

In the bedroom, collect the ‘Hell or High Water‘ note and proceed to the next objective.

The whiskey’s in the safe! Check the display room for Cindy’s safe key / Grab Cindy’s safe key

Head out of the bedroom, go through the closed door on the right and head downstairs to the room at the bottom where the display cases are. A screamer will have spawned here, called “Colt’s Gal Cindy“. Defeat her and loot her safe key.

Crack the bedroom safe and get the Ardkillin whiskey

Head back up the stairs and back into the bedroom where the safe is and where the note ‘Hell or High Water’ was. Open the safe and collect the Ardkillin whiskey that falls out.

Curtis wants some vintage wine. Search the “GOAT Pen”

From the safe you just collected the whiskey from, head out of the house, follow the objective marker, across the tennis court, and run down the stairs, straight across the street, through the gateway and eventually you’ll arrive at the GOAT Pen mansion. It’s the last house in the south of the map.

Enter the mansion and make your way downstairs. There is more than one way to get to the ground floor, so follow the stairs or jump the balcony to get downstairs. Once downstairs you will arrive in a lounge area and will need access to the wine room.

Get inside the “GOAT Pen’s” wine room

In order to gain access you will need the GOAT Pen Master Keys. Turn around and head to the right, enter a small photo studio, turn right, head downstairs to the bar, bear left to the bowling alley and kill the zombie on the bowling lane who has the keys. Collect the keys and head back upstairs to the wine room. Use the key and enter.

Pick out the “Maison Sang-Vivant” wine for Curtis

The wine is on the back wall in the wine rack at the bottom left. Once collected, Curtis will radio in and ask you to find some cigars.

Mop up the enraged GOAT Pen zombies!

There will be a Screamer zombie that will attract more zombies to your current location. Clear them all out by killing them all and move on to the objective once complete.

Swipe cigars from the master bedroom of the “GOAT Pen”

Head up the stairs in front of you and you can now access the master bedroom with the keys, which you couldn’t previously if you have visited this mansion earlier in the game. As you enter be sure to grab the weighted perk blueprint off the table. Kill the zombies in here and be aware a Crusher zombie will enter the room also. Deal with him and then grab the cigars from the wall unit in the dressing room.
