Resident Evil 4 Remake Chapter 16 contains 32 Collectible Locations (including purchasable items and New Game+ Bonus weapons). This walkthrough will guide you to all collectibles in chronological order. Everything that’s needed for trophies, achievements and 100% completion is included: Treasures, Castellans, Merchant Requests, Recipes, Weapons, Weapon Parts, Chapter-Specific Trophies & Achievements.
All Collectibles except Treasures Progress carry over into New Game Plus. There is no Chapter Select or Free-Roam after the story, but you can get missing collectibles in New Game Plus. All Treasures must be found in a single playthrough to unlock their trophies. Some collectibles can’t be reached on the first visit, those must be collected during later chapters when you have the necessary key items.
Collectible Progress can be tracked in the Challenges Menu. Treasure Progress shows on the world map after buying the treasure map from the merchant. It’s highly recommended to collect everything at the first opportunity outlined here, areas gradually become inaccessible when advancing the story.
Chapter 16
Objective: Escape from the island
Treasure: Velvet Blue
At the very start of the chapter, exit Luis’s Laboratory (room you start in), then immediately turn left to boost Ashley up a ladder. She will drop the ladder, climb it, then shoot down the silver container above the bridge.
Treasure: Iluminados Pendant
From the previous treasure keep following the path to the Sanctuary. Behind the altar where you rescued Ashley in Chapter 15, you can grab the treasure from the monolith.
Treasure: Gold Ingot
Climb up the right side of the Sanctuary and keep walking until you reach the merchant. Before the merchant room is the final treasure chest. All found!
General Note: Keep a Manual Save here at the merchant (room left of the treasure). This is the final merchant in the game. After the story and if you found all 16 Castellans, you can buy the Primal Knife from Main Menu > Bonuses > Extra Content Shop. Then reload this Chapter 16 manual save, pull the knife from the Typewriter Storage, fully upgrade it to make it unbreakable, finish last story section again and create a new “finished” save, then start New Game+ with this unbreakable Primal Knife. This would allow you to combine your 2nd run into a knife/pistol only + don’t talk to merchant playthrough (because maxed out Primal Knife is unbreakable you never need to talk to merchant to repair it). For now just keep a Manual Save before spending money on other weapons.
Recipe: Heavy Grenade
Enter the merchant room next to the treasure. This is the final merchant in the game. Here you can buy your remaining recipes / weapons / weapon parts. Heavy Grenade is bought from Merchant for 12,000 ptas.
Recipe: Flash Grenade
Bought from Merchant for 6,000 ptas.
Recipe: Bolts

Objective: Escape from the island
Castellan 16
After defeating Saddler, during the timed escape sequence you will find it on the right side of the rectangular room which has enemies in it.
Trophy: Smooth Escape (Escape on the water scooter without taking any damage)
While riding the jetski don’t let the health counter in the bottom right corner take any damage. Slightly clipping a wall and seeing sparks is fine as long as the health of the jetski does not decline. You have a lot more time here than needed so you can slow down whenever you want and just take it slow. If you take damage, pause the game and load the last autosave to respawn at the start of the section, doing this is fine for the trophy.
New Game+ & Bonus Weapons
After this your weapon counter under Challenges > Feats should show 25/29. The last 4 weapons are from New Game Plus and from the Bonus Menu under Extra Content Shop.
- Infinite Rocket Launcher: Bought in New Game+ for 2 Million ptas. You can sell your existing weapons at the first merchant, especially your upgraded weapons fetch a lot of money. If you were lucky and got the “X% off Rocket Launcher” weapon charm from shooting range you can equip that and it gives a discount for the infinite rocket launcher too.
- Chicago Sweeper: Unlock by completing the main story on Professional mode with an A rank. Buy for 1000 CP.
- Handcannon: Unlock by completing a new game in the main story on Professional mode without using any bonus weapons. Buy for 1000 CP.
- Primal Knife: Unlocked by finding all 16 Castellans. Buy for 1000 CP.
After the story it’s recommended to buy the Primal Knife from Extra Content Shop > Reload save at Chapter 16 Merchant > Fully Upgrade it > finish last story section again. Then you can do your 2nd playthrough as a knife/pistol only + never talk to merchant playthrough. Since the fully upgraded Primal Knife is unbreakable it helps a lot and you’ll never have to talk to the merchant to repair it.
That’s everything to collect in Resident Evil 4 Remake (RE4) main game.
