Introduction
Welcome to the Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Trophy Guide! Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty follows the same tropes of Team Ninja’s previous title Nioh 2: you play through 16 main and 30 side missions to level up and hone your build. Unlike Nioh 2, the game has a different combat system: there’s no stamina bar, which has been replaced by a Spirit gauge, determining which and how many abilities you can use in combat. One of these is deflection, which works similarly to Sekiro’s. The game is also easier thanks to the Reinforcement system, allowing you to recruit up to two allies for most missions and boss fights.
Step 1: Play through the Story and Collect All Tablets, Shitieshou, and Golden Cicada Shells
For this step, play through and enjoy the story. You can refer to Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Walkthrough for a detailed step-by-step guide on all missions’ areas, which includes the location of all trophy-relevant items, the Tablets, the Shitieshou (small panda demon cubs), and the Golden Cicada Shells. The walkthrough guide also features thorough explanations of and suggested strategies on how to win all boss fights.
Alternatively, you can just check Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Collectibles Guide if you just need the locations of all trophy-relevant items. As you play through the story, you will unlock almost all trophies in the game. Whatever you don’t unlock naturally can be left for Step 2.
Step 2: Unlock Chapter-Specific Trophies, Reach Level 10 with a Reinforcement Ally, Fully Upgrade a Piece of Armor, Weapon, and the Dragon’s Pot, Equip a 4-Star Set, Recruit all Allies, Learn Remaining Wizardry Spells
During this step, replay those missions that have specific trophies and as you do, don’t forget to play with whomever ally you are closest to level 10 by recruiting them at any Battle Flag. You may also still have to max out a piece of armor and weapon. These require Rank 9 Leather and Steel respectively, which are endgame materials. This is also a good moment to fully upgrade the Dragon’s Pot’s max number of uses and efficacy if you haven’t done yet. 4-star weapons and armor pieces are found in later levels, which you need to equip a 4-star set. Finally, use Tiger Seals at any Battle Flag to recruit whomever you haven’t played yet and finish learning all Wizardry Spells. For detailed explanations on how to obtain all of these trophies, refer to the respective descriptions in the guide.

Craftsmanship Upgraded your first piece of equipment. |
||
Equipment upgrades are unlocked during the story and allow you to increase the attack power of weapons and the defense of armor pieces. To upgrade your first of equipment and unlock this trophy, you need Rank 1 Steel for weapons and Rank 1 Leather for armor pieces. This is loot in missions and also a reward for playing through early missions. Once you have the required materials, head over to the Blacksmith at Mt. Tianzhushan, then Upgrade, pick your favorite weapon or armor piece, then hold to finalize the upgrade.
Keen-edged Upgraded a weapon to its fullest capacity. |
||
Upgrading weapons requires Steel. Each + Level requires a specific amount of its corresponding Steel rank. For example, to upgrade a chosen weapon to +1, you need x3 Rank +1 Steel. Steel can be found as loot and is also rewarded for completing missions. To upgrade a weapon to its fullest capacity (+9), you need to gradually upgrade it every time you have the right Steel rank amounts and do so until you get enough Rank 9 Steel. Once you do, head over to the Blacksmith at Mt. Tianzhushan, then Upgrade, then hold to finalize the upgrade and unlock this trophy.
Adamantine Upgraded a piece of armor to its fullest capacity. |
||
Upgrading pieces of armor requires Leather. Each + Level requires a specific amount of its corresponding Leather rank. For example, to upgrade a chosen piece of armor to +1, you need x3 Rank +1 Leather. Leather can be found as loot and is also rewarded for completing missions. To upgrade a piece of armor to its fullest capacity (+9), you need to gradually upgrade it every time you have the right Leather rank amounts and do so until you get enough Rank 9 Leather. Once you do, head over to the Blacksmith at Mt. Tianzhushan, then Upgrade, then hold to finalize the upgrade and unlock this trophy.
All That Glitters Embedded your first jewel at the Forge. |
||
Embedment is unlocked during the story and it allows you to rework some of equipment’s special effects. The number of embedding slots a piece of equipment has depends on its star rating. The higher the star rating, the more embedding slots you can rework.
To embed a jewel, head over to the Blacksmith at Mt. Tianzhushan, choose Embedment and then any equipment piece. Now select “Choose embedding slot” and the special effect you want to remove, then confirm. Now select “Choose embedding slot” once again and the question-marked slot to open a list of all possible special effects you can embed. Embedment costs Jewel Fragments and large quantities of Copper. Jewel Fragments are found in missions, but especially gathered from salvaging unused pieces of equipment. As a general rule of thumb, systematically salvage lower-level and rarity equipment to gather large quantities of Jewel Fragements as you play through the story. Copper is obtained when killing enemies and selling unused equipment. What’s great about the Embedment system is that you can slot virtually anything to truly fine-tune your build and become stronger and stronger. |
||
Decor Maketh the Man Decorated your first item at the Forge. |
||
Item decoration is unlocked during the story and allows you to alter the visual look of any weapon or armor piece. To unlock this trophy, head over to the Blacksmith at Mt. Tianzhushan, then Decorate and pick your favorite weapon or armor piece you want to decorate. Decoration costs very small amounts of Copper.
Wizardry Beginner Learned your first Wizardry Spell. |
||
See trophy Wizardry Master.
Wizardry Master Learned all Wizardry Spells. |
||
Wo Long contains 70 Wizardry Spells. They are mystic techniques that can cast powerful elemental spells or buff you in battles. Wizardry Spells consume Spirit and require specific Morale Ranks to cast.
As you play through the story, you will earn Wizardry Points that you can spend to unlock new Spells. To do so, head over to any Battle Flag and choose the Wizardry Spells menu, then Learn Wizardry Spells. To unlock this trophy you need to learn all Spells for all Five Phases, Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water. On your way to level 80, you will get enough Wizardry Points to unlock them all, so don’t even worry about this trophy. It should also be pointed out that for this trophy unlocking the Spell is enough. A Spell’s required Virtue level isn’t needed. Also see: List of All 70 Wizardry Spells. |
||
First Phase Interacted with the Five Phases for the first time. |
||
The Five Phases in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty are the 5 elements in the game: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water.
To interact with the Five Phases for the first time means using each Phase at least once. At any Battle Flag, open the Wizardry Spells > Set Wizardry Spells and slot one spell from 4 out of the 5 Phase trees. Then, in battle use each Spell. Now return to any Battle Flag and slot a spell from the Phase that you left out earlier and repeat the same process with the new spell. Once you’ve used a spell from each Phase at least once, the trophy should unlock. |
||
Unstoppable Raised Morale Rank to 20 for the first time. |
||
Morale Rank affects your strength in battle and the same goes for your enemies. The higher the Morale Rank, the stronger you and enemies are and the faster either of you can go down. A certain Morale Rank is also required to cast some Wizardry Spells. Some powerful ones can only be cast with a high Morale Rank.
To increase a Morale Rank, you need to kill enemies without dying. If you die or sustain Critical Blow damage, your Morale Rank will temporarily lower, but can be regained by exacting vengeance or deflecting the same Critical Blow. To make sure you reach Morale Rank 20 without too much of a hassle, you need to raise Marking and Battle Flags found across missions. Marking Flags increases your Fortitude Rank whereas Battle Flags ensure that your Morale Rank never goes below your current Fortitude Rank. Also see: Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Walkthrough for the locations of all Marking and Battle Flags. |
||
Merit beyond Measure Received a sworn brothers’ boon for the first time. |
||
Early on in the game you will unlock the ability to recruit Reinforcements at any Battle Flag, allies that aid you in battle, both through missions and during boss fights. Each time you play with an ally or spend Cups of Cordiality, their Oath level will gradually increase. To unlock this trophy, keep recruiting the same allies or spend Cups of Cordiality on the same ally until they have reached Oath level 10. Once they have, head over to any Battle Flag and open the Deliveries menu to get their boon and unlock this trophy. If you haven’t unlocked this trophy by the end of the story, do it during Step 2 as you clean up collectibles or anything you’ve got left on your way to the Platinum trophy.
Great Gatherings Joined forces with all available warriors. |
||
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty features a new Reinforcement system, allowing you to recruit up to two allies to aid you in battle, both during some missions and some boss fights. Recruitment costs Tiger Seals, these are loot found in missions or as a reward for completing certain missions.
As you play through the game, keep a list of the allies you play with, and especially those extra ones you decide to recruit. Then, after completing the story, head over to the Battle Flag at Mt. Tianzhushan and start the first main mission Village of Calamity on Rising Dragon difficulty (unlocks after completing the story once, press while in Travel menu). Now, continue through the level and raise the first Battle Flag. Head over to Reinforcements and you should have the complete list of all available warriors for recruitment. Doing so in other missions of the lower difficulty isn’t guaranteed as some allies are not available at all during certain missions. Simply invest your Tiger Seals in whomever you haven’t played with yet and you will unlock this trophy. For this, you don’t need to finish a mission. If you want you can even make a backup save on the PS Cloud and redownload it to restore your Tiger Seals after use. Here’s a list of all 17 available warriors:
|
||
Fantastic Form Equipped a full 4★ set consisting of: melee weapon, ranged weapon, accessory, and 4 armor pieces. |
||
Armor pieces and weapons have a star rating, which indicates how rare an item is. To unlock this trophy, you need to equip a 4-star item for all the categories listed above. You can leave this trophy for the endgame when it becomes a lot easier to find 4-star rating equipment.
Pots and Potions Upgraded the Dragon’s Cure Pot to its greatest capacity and effectiveness. |
||
The Dragon’s Cure Pot is the game’s health phial. This can be upgraded to increase the number of uses and how much health is restored per use. To do so, you need Dragon Vein Crystals and Essences respectively. You can follow Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Walkthrough which includes the locations of all Crystals and Essences or Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty All Dragon Vein Crystal and Essence Locations. Once you have all Crystals and Essences available, open the Inventory and use them.
Well-read Collected all tablets. |
||
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty contains 31 Tablet locations. These are found in main and side missions as glittering loot. Once you have them all, you can give them to the Hermit of Tianzhu woman inside the hut opposite the straw silo in the middle of Mt. Tianzhushan for some rewards. Refer to Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Walkthrough for their locations or Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty All Tablet Locations.
Best Flag Forward Raised your first Battle Flag. |
||
See trophy Fly It High. | ||
Fly It High Raised all Battle Flags. |
||
Battle Flags are the game’s checkpoints. At Battle Flags, you can increase your Fortitude Rank and save your Morale Rank. Additionally, here’s where you can level up your character, set what Divine Beast to unleash in battle, learn and set new Wizardry Spells, and travel to new battlefields aka start new missions. Battle Flags, especially those before boss fights, are also important to recruit Reinforcements, the allies in the game.
At Battle Flags, you also restore the number of Dragon’s Cure Pots. Battle Flags are always on the main path and are very hard to miss. However, if you miss one or two, check Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Walkthrough, it points out all Battle Flags in each mission. |
||
How Cute! Fed your first Shitieshou. |
||
See trophy How Precious!
How Precious! Fed all of the Shitieshou. |
||
Shitieshou are small, innocuous panda cub demons found in certain missions. These can be fed with any equipment item in your Inventory and in return will reward you with a random item. Once you’ve found and fed one, they will then teleport to Mt. Tianzshushan. Shitieshou unlocks from The Valley of Crying Wraiths main mission. Refer to Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Walkthrough for their locations or Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty All Shitieshou Locations.
Sharp Reflexes Successfully deflected 10 critical blows. |
||
A Critical Blow is an enemy’s powerful attack marked by a red sparkle. These attacks cannot be parried, but they can be deflected. Most enemies’ Critical Blows are delayed, but if they hit, they can deal substantial amounts of damage. To be able to master the combat you will have to learn how to deflect Critical Blows. As such, this trophy will unlock naturally over the course of the game, so don’t worry about it.
Vulnerable Moments Landed 50 Fatal Strikes. |
||
Fatal Strikes are powerful attacks that can be performed only when an enemy’s Spirit gauge has been depleted. An enemy’s spirit gauge can be depleted mainly with normal and heavy attacks as well as Critical Blow deflections. Once it has, the locked-on target will turn red, allowing you to perform a Fatal Strike. You will perform a ton of Fatal Strikes in this game, so don’t worry about this trophy as it will unlock naturally.
Side by Side Dominated 10 battlefields with a companion. |
||
Unmissable, story-related unlock. Over the course of the game, you will play many main and side missions with a Reinforcement ally from beginning to end. As such, don’t worry about this trophy as it will unlock naturally.
Eye for an Eye Fended off invaders 10 times. |
||
As you play through main and side missions, you will occasionally be invaded by red NPCs. To fend off invaders 10 times, you need to kill 10 of them. This can be repeated on the same invader, but there’s no need to as you will unlock this trophy naturally as you play through the story.
Righteous Judgment Exacted vengeance 10 times. |
||
Vengeance is exacted when you kill an enemy that has killed either you or another player (only available if you play online). When an enemy kills you, your Morale Rank – basically how much damage you can deal and sustain – lowers and theirs increases. To exact vengeance, you need to kill the enemy that killed you. This will also restore your Morale Rank to the level it was before dying. However, Vengeance cannot be exacted if you die on your way to the enemy that killed you. This trophy will unlock naturally as you play through the story, so don’t worry about it.
Call to Arms Used 10 Tiger Seals. |
||
Tiger Seals are items that can be looted in the wild or rewarded for completing missions. Tiger Seals are used to play online or recruit Reinforcements. You will unlock this trophy almost naturally and certainly on your way to Great Gatherings, so you can simply refer to that and you will also unlock this trophy.

Ascension Gave a certain someone the maximum amount of Golden Cicada Shells. |
||
Early on in the game you will unlock the game’s hub, Mt. Tianzhushan, an area free of demons where all of the game’s NPCs progressively go to. One of these is the Hermit of Tianzhu man, found atop the tallest tower in the village. He wants you to collect Golden Cicada Shells for him, found in missions. For the locations of all Golden Cicada Shells you can follow Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Walkthrough or Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty All Golden Cicada Shells Locations. Once you have at least 20 Golden Cicada Shells, return them to the Hermit to unlock this trophy. |

thanks, was waiting for this one.
Donkaapo says
Thx for another Day 1 Guide <3. Can't wait to go after the Platinum.
Cva says
any missable trophies ? please mention if got so
FranciRoosters says
As stated in the overview, there are no missable trophies.
4ipuxa says
So is it like Sekiro where you cant like overpower yourself with having tons of health for example, or is it like Elden Ring where where if you have the patience to grind out currency for leveling up you can become overpowered?
In Nioh 2 you could grind out and become pretty overpowered.
FranciRoosters says
Health Upgrades in Wo Long are progressive, meaning that you’ll have more Dragon’s Cure Pots available for use the further you are into the story. It’s not like Elden Ring where you can immediately collect Golden Seeds and Sacred Tears. As for becoming overpowered, you can if you’d like, just like in any Soulslike.
Gediminas says
You can somewhat, if you choose to.
But this is harder this time around, because of Morale in levels. Morale is a big part of your damage and defense, the lower you have, the way harder the enemies are.
Lhingnir says
Ty for the great guide as always.
Is this game harder than Nioh or same stuff?
FranciRoosters says
Much easier. As noted in the guide, you can summon Reinforcements for most missions, giving you an edge in most of them. Also, you can embed anything you want in your gear as opposed to Nioh where it was random. That said, some of the most challenging boss fights can only be done solo.
Dark69knight says
Thanks for the guide and a quick question are playing online multiplayer Co-op effect on Reinforcement system like yo can’t summon them or not ?
FranciRoosters says
You can’t have more than two NPC allies or online friends during a mission, so you must choose.
Dreamcrawler says
Thanks for the Guide. Great Work
Will there be a Wiki Section, sorting all the content?
Greetz
PowerPyx says
Yes, and thanks for asking 🙂
Wiki is live and linked now. Also here’s the direct link: Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Wiki.
PhantomFear94 says
Is it fair to say that regarding skill thresholds if you could 100% Elden Ring, you can probably 100% this?
I know you said it’s easier than Nioh, but I didn’t player Nioh. Elden Ring was my first From Software game aside from Malenia I didn’t have any issues.
FranciRoosters says
This game is definitely easier than the Nioh series. If you have platted Elden Ring, you’ll plat this game for sure.
LuBulegend92 says
Thanks for the guide. I played the 2nd demo and found out that the game is way too easy if an NPC helps you, let alone 2 now. So I will be playing this game solo to face the best challenges this game has to offer. But once I’m done with the story, I will focus on level 10 with companion trophy. So will that grind be long, like the level the relationship increases in the short mission is the same as long mission?
FranciRoosters says
Your ally’s level increase is quite fast. You can even use Cups of Cordiality to level them up (one cup = one level)
Manny says
Do we have to complete the mission when we go back for collectible cleanup?
FranciRoosters says
No, they immediately register. Thanks for pointing it out, I’ll add a note to the guide.
Rayzero2002 says
One the multi player mode can you choose your allies or is a random? Thank you for the great guide.
FranciRoosters says
You can ask a friend to join you in those missions that allow it.
Jacob Groves says
Hey do you lost progression or items or something like that when you die? how hard game is? still tough game for casuals and players who look for less difficult times through games?
FranciRoosters says
When you die, you only lose whatever your Morale Rank was after raising the last Battle Flag and half of your Genuine Qi. However, you can regain all of that if you kill the enemy that killed you. Collectibles save immediately. As for the difficulty, this is one of the easier Soulslike games because there are fewer challenging parts.
Jacob Groves says
thank you 🙂
Giga says
Apparently, if you carry over the save from the demo, trophies don’t unlock, which would make the level 15 trophy and the first 2 story trophies missable and you’d have to restart.
Ruffio says
I carried over data from the demo and those trophies unlocked for me. Might not be 100% but I wouldn’t be surprised if it is happening for some folks.
ebtesam says
i have 1 Trophy didn’t unlock
(Will of the Loyal)
i replay it agine and still didn’t unlock for me
Ruffio says
I also have one story trophy that didn’t unlock. Awakening of the Unscrupulous Hero. Beaten it multiple times. And nothing. Gonne just try and speed through a fresh new game and see if that fixes it. But there are definitely bugged trophies.
Mugiii says
Ths for the guide! And i think the list of 16 available warriors probably has a little problem that Han Dang and Zhang Jiao are not available warriors, Zhang Jiao is a Boss, Han Dang i didn’t meet, I also have two warriors named Guo Jia and Huang Gai, hope you could check
Mugiii says
Btw Liu Bei i saw in a video but dont know how to unlock
FranciRoosters says
Just to be clear, have you played through all 46 missions first?
matthew pace says
i have huang gai but dont have guo jai weirdly, i do have liu bei though so i have 17, trophy wont unlock
FranciRoosters says
That’s weird. Just to be sure, have you played through all 46 missions first?
WuKong says
Zhang Jiao is Guo Jia
But the name is a bug
I don’t know how to so solve it sadly
Jc says
I didn’t unlock the trophy “Awakening of the Unscrupulous Hero” after completing the main quest. I just defeated lu bu btw, it’s weird. None of my friends got this trophy so far. Is that a glitch?
Again, thanks for the guide.
FranciRoosters says
Sounds like a glitch. I never had any issues with story trophies.
Sealior says
Me and a friend have it too, did even the mission again but no trophy still…..
leb says
same here, didnt unlock the trophy after completing the main quest
Ruffio says
Same trophy for me and multiple friends. I completed it with a friend the first time, and have since tried it solo as well, and nothing.
Jc says
My friend found a way to solve this problem. You basically restart a new play through and finish 3-2, and you can get this trophy unlock. It seems like this trophy will be glitched if you play on multiplayer mode
Selfconfidenced says
All trophies can be obtainable offline and no need for co op play?
FranciRoosters says
Yes, no need for coop.
4ipuxa says
Spent a couple of hours trying to beat first boss with no success.
I suck at parrying,either my reaction time is terrible or i have no idea when to press the button.
Definetely not the game for me.
4ipuxa says
For those strugling with the first boss.
If youre having too hard of a time grind out max Morale if you do that the fight
will be much much easier, but be expected to deflect at least once or twice in the second phase.
Eve says
Hello i have problem ;/ where sun ce join or what i need to do? I have 15 but not him ;(
sebay says
Is there a way to check in which mission what collectible i left?
FranciRoosters says
Unfortunately, no. The game only tracks Battle and Marking Flags.
Returnal182 says
Awakening of the Unscrupulous Hero Is bugged for me
Naoneko says
I experience a lot of trophy bugs here, the oath cao cao trophy, tablet and 21 cicada didnt pop up for me
Noc says
Thanks for the guide. About Eye for an Eye, when will I begin to get NPC invader? I just met Zuo Ci and no NPC invader until now.

If you play offline, you’ll get Eye for an Eye in the late phases of the story. Online, the NPC invaders are few and far between. If you play online, you may get it earlier depending on how often a random player invades you.
Noc says
Do you mean if I set allow player hostile invasion, I will get less NPC invade?
I watch on youtube there is a NPC invasion before Zhang Jiao but I never got the invasion.
Noc says
To add it, I never got invaded by NPC in these 2 missions, but your walkthrough and youtube have it, I’m so confused.
The Demon Fort of Yellow Heaven
Fall of the Corrupted Eunuch
FranciRoosters says
Try replaying them offline.
Arkonite says
Thank you for the guide FranciRoosters ! Great job as always 🙂
Just a report for the trophy “First Phase”. When I unlocked the Tengshe Divine Beast, I tried to unleash it and the trophy didn’t pop. Plus, the description of the Tengshe beast says it’s tied to Metal Virtue.
Then, few hours later (continuing to use this beast just in case), the trophy poped during the hard fight 1v3 when I used a poison spell.
Just wondering if we can use one spell of each virtue once to unlock this trophy 🙂
FranciRoosters says
You’re welcome! As for the trophy, maybe you’re right. It actually even makes more sense since there seems to be no way to cast different elements of magic one after the other given that you can only slot 4 spells and there’s 5 phases. And now that I think of it there’s no Divine Beast that releases all phases at once either.
Kaushin says
Currently shows 13/10 and 130% for the Eye for an Eye trophy. Is this a bug? Do I have to turn on “invasion by hostile.players” and defeat online players for this? I currently have it set to off.
FranciRoosters says
This sounds like a bug with the trophy tracker. And no, no need to be or play online for any of the trophies.
Nikki_boagreis says
Im happy all trophies can be obtained offline, as soon as i get the platinum for “Like A Dragon ishin” i’ll be starting Wo Long Fallen Dynasty.
Emma says
The Awakening of the Unscrupulous Hero is bugged for me. Completed the mission and have started the next and the trophy hasn’t popped… hope this gets fixed.
KamilinhoPL says
I think it’s only glitched in co-op (most people say it glitched on them during co-op). I just made new character (without deleting my previous data or uninstalling the game) and done all the missions prior to The Fall of the Corrupted Eunuch solo and got the trophy without any problems that way.
Helen says
Awakening of the Unscrupulous Hero Trophy is glitched for me, ran the level through three times.
JS says
I just unlocked the glitched trophy “Awakening of the Unscrupulous Hero” , by deleting my old data and starting a new run and finished 3-2 by myself (you can upload your data to cloud before doing it)

Hey, guide states that autopop works both ways for all trophies except the one for feeding all pandas. I just got the platinum on ps5, transfered save, and some more trophies didn’t pop. Two of them, for clearing 15 side missions and clearing all missions I managed to get by simply replaying any mission. I also got one with pandas. But the problem is I’m missing trophies for giving the guy in village 20 cicadas (I’ve already done it and he’s gone), for getting all notes (can’t pick up any note as I got them all already) and one for fully upgrading healing flask (which I also have no idea how to pop at this moment).
Did anybody encountered any issues regarding autopop as well? If so, did you manage to solve them?
Regards
FranciRoosters says
Try re-uploading and re-downloading your save.
Rikardi says
Was anyone able to actually autopop “Well-read”, “pots and potions” and “ascension”? Only 2/3 of trophies autopop, I had to perform an action to pop 9 or so trophies but these 3 won’t pop no matter what.
FranciRoosters says
I had a similar issue. Try re-uploading and re-downloading your save.
Hunter says
Been try to get the First Phase trophy to pop for the last 10 minutes or so. I’ve made sure I’ve used one spell of every phase at least once but no luck. Is it bugged or am I not understanding this trophy properly?
Hunter says
It just popped randomly in the middle of a boss fight with Baishe. I wonder if it has something to do with being either inflicted with a spell of each of the 5 Phases or facing a boss that has that sort of element. Because I’ve tried several times just spamming different spells with no avail to get it to pop.
Ilmu says
I’m missing one Shitieshou, do you have to replay the whole mission after finding it for it to count? or can i just travel to the check the next one?
Ilmu says
To answer myself, it’s enough to find it to trigger the achivement.
FranciRoosters says
It registers as soon as it’s fed.
Ilmu says
A note to Eye for an Eye.
I got invaded twice by players and not NPCs. After respawning the NPCs didn’t spawn either. I was short for the trophy. Had to go back and refight invasions.
Ilmu says
Apparently real invaders don’t count at all, managed to kill one. No trophy and the counter did not go up. Reloaded the mission with real invasions disabled, killed the NPC and it popped.
Rikardi says
Tried uploading and downloading the save again but no autopop for these 3 trophies no matter what I do. Can you put a disclaimer in your guide telling people to make a backup save before they get the last tablet, cure pot upgrade and before giving all cicadas to that guy? I wish I knew this sooner. REALLY not in the mood to play this game again for 3 trophies.
Rikardi says
I have no idea anymore. Did it again(upload/download), but this time instead of being in that hub village I decided to do the upload in the first mission in NG+. Started the PS4 version and still didn’t pop, but the moment I got the first item in that mission the trophies autopop. Wtf is the trigger for these trophies?
Arkonite says
Hey, I just finished the game, and I wanted to share you that there are 17 warriors total for the trophy “Great Gatherings”.
Nothing important but you forgot Liu Bei 🙂
FranciRoosters says
Thanks, added to the list. ?

So tired if this Unscrupulous hero trophy not unlocking. Beat it two diff characters. 2 diff times. Solo without online. Still nothing.
Team Ninja should to bankrupt.
Max says
Good morning,
I have a problem with the eye for an eye trophy.
I was invaded several times during the missions.
I beat the enemies, but my trophy tracking meter remains at 0/10 and 0%.
Do you have a solution for me?
THANKS
FranciRoosters says
Sounds like a bug. Have you checked if the trackers goes up if you play offline?
Max says
I did not try.
I’m going to do that to see if it works and I will be back to post to let you know if it worked
Max says
Problem solved.
The counter is unlocked offline
THANKS

Did the platinum yesterday. Some parts of it were nightmare, want to forget about it asap.
So bacically the game has 3 boss and 1 mission thresholds that will determine whether you platinum it or not – first boss, horse boss, and last boss, and the dragon trial mission(but its kinda easier because it has checkpoints).
So my tips
1) if youre seeing the boss owns you hard raise your Morale to 25 – you have to grind it each story mission which is kinda exhausting, later in the game you can you pop 3 elixirs to get +3 Morale, of course cant get past 25 on NG.
2) in story missions raise all flags, it will raise your minimum Morale rank when youre Wasted.
3) grind out levels of character and level up as much as you have patience for.
this is important because the game utilises the same syster as souls games,
i always get the feeling thats its heaven and earth fighting enemies for example at level 100 and 150.
4) upgrade your gear asap – if youre seeing that youre finding rank X materials in the level than you should have your gear upgraded to this rank asap.
5) look up video collectibles guide and collect them along playthrough, its not missable but its exhausting because 90+ % of it are in story missions and you have to start with 0 rank Morale.
6) as far as weapons go id say staff or spear is best for casual player like myself.
7)) 70+ % (maybe more its RNG dependant) bosses can be poked to 0 health without single deflection, for those that cant be done this way do trial runs and figure out their timing for red attacks.
8) except for horse boss always summon reinforcements where it is possible.
9) use triangle attack to finish your combo – i found it to be pretty nice on mobs.
while doing the platinum i didnt understand two things – how to replenish your items from storage(it doesnt do that on resting on flags) and how to insert the imbue element to a weapon(it cant be done on any weapon at least it looks that way).
also needing to upload save to auto pop if i am playing on PS5 and own only PS5 is retarded shit.
and the graphics gets and honorable mention which look like a PS4 game rather than PS5.
Gary says
Hi there. Great guide as always. Just wondering, you mention collectibles register once found, what about flags? Do you have to beat the boss/level once you get all the flags for them to register?
Thanks
Cocka says
You don’t.
But you need mission completion for platinum.
Also don’t forget there are two types of flags and only Battle flags are needed for plat
Arkonite says
Hey there,
Just a message to report that the link to the page “All Dragon Vein Crystals and Essence Locations (Health Upgrades)” is broken ;)

Fixed. Good spotting, thanks! 🙂

Does NG+ work like the one in Nioh? So you can lvl up quicker in NG+ and switch back to NG to clean up tricky side missions?
FranciRoosters says
I didn’t notice a quicker level-up pace during NG+. On the Rising Dragon difficulty the level cap is 150.
CJ says
It’s really frustrating they don’t track Cicada and pandas on the map screen. I throughly explore each level and now I have no clue which ones I’ve missed. Means playing every single level again and checking.
Chris says
For “Great Gatherings”, is there a known bug with that one? I unlocked all seventeen listed, went to the new difficulty’s first Battle Flag, and then went down the list summoning each one with tiger seals. Nothing is popping for me though.
It’s said you don’t have to beat the level with them all, but do you maybe have to at least kill an enemy with each or something? It shows my progress at 82% for what it’s worth.

Imported save from PS4 into PS5, was already mid way in my playthough, and having issues unlocking a few trophies. I already had Staunching heressy, Heroes will rise, dogged justice and Strung bow unlocked on my PS4 save file, and yet when I imported, they arent on the PS5 version. Everything else did unlock tho, and even replaying the missions on a harder difficulty seems to fix the issue. Any advice??
Firedor says
Thanks for the guide! Incredible but I get the platinum in 21 hours. Very easy game compared to other soulslike but enjoyable gameplay. The story forgetable tho :/
Tabion says
“First Phase” wouldn’t pop for me using what’s mentioned above in the guide, only way it worked for me was using a Metal spell to counter act a Lightning spell.
I used the first metal spell to lob a ball of poison, I then stood in the poison and let a warlock cask lightning on me and it negates the spell and popped the trophy.
Tabion says
Forgot to add
I don’t think the trophy is asking you to interact with all 5 phases, as in “use them all” it’s just asking you to interact with the 5 phases in any way.
And interacting means countering one spell with another.
And for me the above worked, you could potentially also get set on fire and use the water shield to negate that, but I can’t test that as I now have the trophy.

The tactical secondary mission bugged, this secondary mission is not appearing for me!
