The Way of the Warrior is the 12th main mission in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. This walkthrough will guide you through all areas of the The Way of the Warrior Main Quest.

Region: Fortitude
Requirement: having completed War’s Flames Blaze Fiercely
Reward: Rank 7 Steel x4, Taishan Bandit Bandana x1, Taishan Champion Armor x1, Taishan Campion Footwear x1, Bixie’s Jade, 
Fearless Warrior
Battle Flag 1
From Battle Flag 1, continue on until you get to broken branch leaning out.
From here, drop down to the left and wade through the muddy stream to get to a side area defended by a Zhupolong. Defeat it and then grab the Golden Cicada Shell by the tree.
Now get back and defeat the Zhuyan. Opposite the Zhuyan is a small side path leading you to Marking Flag 1 guarded by a Shuigui.
Return to where you fought the Zhuyan and continue on to find a Changgui. Defeat it and then continue downhill.
Climb up the ledge in front of you and the trunk going up to Marking Flag 2.
Go back down the trunk and drop down a few ledges to find a Shuigui.
Defeat it and then continue along the only path, flanking the right side until you can go up a small hill and knock down a trunk leading you back to the start of the area.
After activating the shortcut, retrace your steps downhill and defeat the Warlock and wandering Shuigui.
Continue towards the corrupted Battle Flag and Cheng Lian invader will spawn.
Defeat him together with the Zhuyan which controls the corruption. Then, raise Battle Flag 2.
Battle Flag 2
Enter the village and make your way through it until you can battle against a Demonized Officer near a lightning-casting Warlock. Opposite their location, across a bridge, is Battle Flag 3.
Diagonally across from Battle Flag 3, on a small ledge, is a Shitieshou.

Cross the bridge again and this time get to topmost corner of the area to find Marking Flag 3.
Go back to Battle Flag 3 and continue downstairs. In the next area, prioritize the Warlock stationed on one of the platforms above as he continually casts lightning bolts. Use a crossbow or a bow to take him down, then clear the rest of the area.
When you’re done, approach the raft by the mill wheel to create a shortcut.
Now get under the building opposite the raft and climb it up using the white-painted ledges. Here you can raise Marking Flag 4.
Continue through the area until you can enter a courtyard with lots of terracotta statues, including an imposing one by the next Battle Flag.
First, clear and loot the outer area, then take the big stone statue head-on. He’s quite big, but is only Morale Rank 10, so he should go down fast.
Once he is, raise Battle Flag 4.
Battle Flag 4
From Battle Flag 4, open the chest behind it containing Dragon Vein Crystal.
Continue on into the next room with a bunch of alive and dead terracotta soldiers. At the top of this room, close to the ceiling, is Marking Flag 5.
Continue on back up, defeat the soldier and exit the building to find Battle Flag 5.
Battle Flag 5
From Battle Flag 5, continue towards the staircase, then head left of it. At the back, guarded by two soldiers, you can find Marking Flag 6.
Now climb the fence that’s near Marking Flag 6 and go all the way around to find a room guarded by a soldier and with a chest.
Go back towards the main area and as you do climb up the rooftops to then drop to the other side for Marking Flag 7, the final one for this mission.
Return to the room where you opened the last chest and open the gate to sneak up on the enemy controlling the next Battle Flag’s corruption.
When you’ve won, raise the final Battle Flag for this mission.
Battle Flag 6
From Battle Flag 6, continue upstairs. We’re now ready to take on the boss.
Zhang Liao Boss Fight
Zhang Liao is a bulky soldier mastering the Lightning element. He has a similar move set to Xiahou Dun’s, meaning that he casts lunging and spinning attacks. As usual, keep your distance and cast Imposing Slab when you can to slow the boss down and deal Spirit damage. Reserve the rest of your gauge to encourage your allies and deflect as much as you can, including and especially the Critical Blow attacks for some considerable Spirit damage.
