Hogwarts Legacy has 16 Ingredient Locations. Ingredients are Collectibles needed to reach 100% Collections Completion for the Collector’s Edition trophy & achievement. Ingredients are used in crafting: brewing potions, growing plants, and building objects in the Room of Requirement.
None of the Ingredients are missable. You can still find all of them after the story in free-roam. They can simply be bought from shops. There are two shops in Hogsmeade that sell ingredients: J. Pippin’s Potions sells 10 ingredients, The Magic Neep sells 5 ingredients. The only item type not sold by those shops is “Moonstone” which is easily found as blue ore in the open world and in the Vivarium.
The plants can also be grown infinitely at potting tables after buying the seeds from The Magic Neep in Hogsmeade. You can place potting tables in The Room of Requirement (unlocked after Main Quest #21: The Room of Requirement). A Large potting table can be bought from Tomes and Scrolls in Hogsmeade. Some item types are drops from enemies but they don’t drop during Battle Arenas. Other collectable ingredients grow in the open world but also regrow infinitely in the Vivarium (unlocked after Main Quest #28: The Elf, The Nab-Sack, and the Loom).
You can keep track of how many Ingredients you obtained under Collections > Ingredients. This guide lists them in the same order as the completed in-game Ingredients Menu, which uses alphabetical order.
