Sic Semper Tyrannis is a Main Quest in Assassin’s Creed Origins – The Hidden Ones DLC. This walkthrough shows how to complete the quest.
Recommended Level: 45
Region: Arsinoe Nome
Requirement: having finished No Chains Too Thick
Reward: 15.000 XP
Objectives:
- Speak to Amunet
- Follow Amunet
- Kill all the Romans attacking the Village
- Find and Assassinate Rufio
The time to take care of Rufio has finally come. After he heard about the passing of his three lieutenants, he made his way from Rome to oversee matters for himself. He will reside on his ship in the Red Sea and won’t come ashore.
Aya and Bayek will ride towards the shore,
when they notice the whole village has been set on fire by the Romans. Now, it is time to fight all the Roman soldiers in the area, who are killing the civilians. Luckily, they are often very stupid and run into fire, setting themselves ablaze.
When you took care of all the enemies (roughly 15), it’s time to mount a boat and head out to the Roman armada of ships. As you would expect, Rufio will be in the middle of the big ship, which is guarded by the other ships around it.
It is advised to take care of the small one-man-ships, who are patrolling the outside perimeter, because they can be an annoyance, when you try to sneak up on the other ships. Take out at least two of the medium-sized ships, so that you won’t be shot from all sides when entering the big ship in the middle. Rufio’s ship is also equipped with some stationary crossbows, which can be used to get rid of some more enemies quite easily.
If you are lucky, you might get Rufio in your crosshairs, but that most likely won’t be the case. He is a brute and cannot be killed with a bow-headshot anyhow, so some crossbow-damage would be nice, if you can have it. Otherwise you will have to face him in close-combat soon. As with any other bigger enemies, always dodge and strike back quickly. He won’t be too big of a problem then.
As with the previous’ quests enemies, confirm your kill, once you have struck him down.
He will deliver a rather scary message, once Bayek confronts him.
