There are 73 Decorations & Hanging Scrolls in Monster Hunter Rise. Obtaining all of them unlocks the Sturdy Padlock trophy and achievement – awarded for collecting many decorations and hanging scrolls.
None of them are missable. It’s recommended to start working on the Lottery Items early on because they are very luck-based. So the sooner you start with those, the sooner you will be done and then don’t have to worry about it anymore.
There are 3 ways to obtain decorations outlined below.
1. Argosy Purchases
Argosy will sell you scrolls in the “Special Goods” category. 4 of them are unlocked through story progression, all the other ones are unlocked by killing a monster a total of 10 times. You will have to kill every single large monster in the game 10 times except for “Narwa the Allmother”. This is a total of 49 scrolls you can obtain from the Argosy.
2. Relics Rewards
Kagero the Merchant will reward you with carvings of monsters for each set of Relics you will bring him. Collecting all 60 Relics will unlock all the Carvings from Kagero.
3. Lottery Items
In between quests you will receive a message about a sale at the shops. A sale also means you can participate in a lottery that sometimes can reward you with a decoration. It is random if the lottery item is a decoration or something else, it is also luck-based if you win the item -> You can either get a “Jackpot”, “Bingo” or nothing as the result of the Lottery and you need “Jackpot” to obtain the decoration. Saving and reloading to manipulate the result does NOT work, so don’t waste your time. When the Lottery appears it is already scripted if you will win or not. You need to obtain a total of 12 items. Just make sure to play the lottery every time a sale is available. Winning 100 lottery items in total will award you one of your missing decorations for free.
