Introduction
Welcome to the Monster Hunter Rise Trophy Guide! Rise was originally released on the Nintendo Switch in 2021 and on Steam in 2022, now in 2023 it finally gets a version for PlayStation with trophies. People who went for the Monster Hunter World or Iceborne Platinum Trophy know what to expect: a very grindy trophy list which will test your endurance and patience. The trophy list for Rise is similar to the one Iceborne offered – gold crown hunting, collectibles, and a lot of miscellaneous tasks.
Some differences from Monster Hunter World:
- You no longer have to farm for monster tracks to unlock Investigation Quests, those do not exist in this game
- Crowns can be unlocked in the Hub Quests, so you can choose which monster you want to farm without having to rely on randomness of track farming
- Rampage Quests which are a tower-defense type quests
- Argosy and Botanical Garden are combined now (instead of growing plants in garden you talk to a vendor and send your Palico to gather materials)
- You can craft Decorations and don’t have to rely on luck for those, but Talismans are randomized now
- With Palamute you now have a mount you can use all the time to ride around quickly
- Wirebugs are a great mobility addition and you should take a minute to try out using them
General Tips:
- Sometimes it is better to repeat a mission to farm for gear before moving on with the new ones
- Rampage monsters do NOT count toward the 1000 slain monsters, except for the final boss monster of a rampage
- Holding the touchpad in the hub area pulls out the map, clicking on a location transports you there immediately
- On the map you can see speech bubbles when someone wants to talk to you, always talk to the people while those appear to unlock quests etc.
- Make sure to always pick up Optional Subquests from Hinoa/Minoto before going on a mission since those reward you with Kamura Points and Armor Spheres
- Steps below are just a general overview, you can approach the tasks for platinum however you want
Step 1: Village Quests
Village Quests are your first goal in the game. They are easier than the Hub Quests and are sort of a story mode for the game. Progress them as far as you can while grinding for gear if necessary. The real Final Village Quests only unlock after progressing through the Hub Quests.
Important Note: Always play the Lottery when a Sale is available at the Merchant! More about it below at the Sturdy Padlock trophy.
Step 2: Hub Quests
Here you will spend the majority of your time with the game. All the late game stuff, crown hunting, Event Quests etc. can be found here. Progressing through the Hub Quests is also the only way to unlock the Hunter Rank. Once you reach a certain Hunter Rank a mandatory Quest will appear in the Hub which you will have to finish in order to increase your Hunter Rank.
Step 3: Collectibles and the Grind
Once you have progressed far enough in the game and have good gear you can now focus on the big grind: crowns, collectibles, fishing, photos etc. Approach it in whichever order you like. Since the grind is really long in this game, try alternating between crown hunting and other tasks to keep it more entertaining.

Im so happy everything can be completed solo offline, thank’s for submitting this trophy roadmap for one of my most anticipated releases can’t wait until the Sunbreak expansion releases. Not sure why they didn’t just release it day one on PSN or have it bundled with Monster Hunter Rise or sold as stand alone additional content.
angelbless says
There has been a day one patch for the PS5 version. Could it be for the save data transfer option? I wonder if trophies will auto-pop though.
Starscream says
This looks way easier plat than what world/iceborne had. Good guide power as always
angelbless says
Thank you for the guide! Just wanted to confirm that save transfer is possible to PS5 and autopop (so far seems to be working).
joker says
Hey 6/10 difficulty because of the time for the plat or ingame challenges ?
Jake says
Yes. It’s going to take a long time to get the crowns and the arena quests can be especially challenging, more so for players who get comfortable with only one or two weapons and rely a lot on their set skills.
Bobby Sam says
Arena quests are laughably easy. Monsters heavily nerfed. If you know how to play fundamentally you will easily finish them.
Sibunha says
Good Guide! It can be added that you should farm for Aurum and Helpers in each mission otherwise it gets quite grindy.
Platinum Hunter says
Hi Powerpyx, do you know by chance if there is already the sunbreak trophy list? On some web pages there is that of the pc and Nintendo version, I was wondering if it was the same, but above all if someone is already playing sunbreak can tell us how it is thanks
