This page shows all Gym Leaders in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet with their used elements and Pokemon. Make sure you prepare ahead of time and level up a Pokemon that counters their element (one that they are weak to).
The story has 3 paths: Winning in all 8 Gyms, Defeating all 5 Titans, Defeating all 5 Team Star Leaders. This means in total there are 18 “main opponents” you must defeat to finish the story. Each of these uses a different element-type of Pokemon. While you can technically do them in any order, the list below shows them in the best order based on their levels (from lowest level to highest level).
You can work on all 3 types (Gyms / Titans / Team Stars) simultaneously and switch between them. They will all get marked on the world map early in the story. On the left side of the world map it will show a counter how many of each branch you defeated.
