The Wishing Well is a secret area in God of War Ragnarok. Its main purpose is to throw yellow crystals into the well, which rewards you with various crafting materials, armor pieces and hacksilver.

Where to find the Wishing Well?
It is located in “The Plains” region of Vanaheim realm. This is part of the crater area in the very north of Vanaheim, you get there by completing Favor: Scent of Survival. The Wishing Well can then by accessed through either The Jungle or The Sinkholes. If you go through The Jungle you must first do Favor: Return of the River to flood the area, then defeat two ogres that are throwing stones, then you can interact with the chains of a gate. If going through The Sinkholes you must defeat a drake boss, follow the path behind it to reach the Wishing Well.
Here’s the exact location while standing inside the Wishing Well. The area is actually called “Wishing Well” when entering it for the first time, but on the world map it’s part of “The Plains” region. Once you get there, go to the top of the area and lower the golden chain, this leads back to the Mystic Gateway at the start of the Crater. You can use this chain to quickly climb back there from the Mystic Gateway.
What to do in The Wishing Well?
What makes this area so special is that it’s a rewards area where you can trade yellow crystals for various unique armor pieces and unique crafting materials. It also grants you large amounts of hacksilver.
Around the well there is an interaction point:
Interacting with this will let you throw all gathered crystals into the well. It automatically empties your whole inventory all at once and gives you an amount of rewards for each crystal you had. The more crystals you had, the more materials you get.

What Rewards does the Wishing Well give?
Simply keep throwing more yellow crystals into the Wishing Well to get more rewards:
- Asgardian Ingot
- Luminous Alloy
- Petrified Bone
- Purified Crystalline
- Gleaming Crystal
- Shining Crystal
- Sparkling Crystal
- Fallen Stars Armor Set (Plackart of Fallen Stars, Bracers of Fallen Stars, Waist Guard of Fallen Stars)
- Hacksilver (currency)
Some of these Crystal materials are mandatory to fully upgrade equipment attachments and armor pieces. So you will need to do this at least a few times to reach level 9, the maximum.
