God of War Ragnarok contains 10 Treasure Maps and 10 Buried Treasures. Each map reveals 1 Buried Treasure. The maps come in form of lore scrolls. Only after finding the map you can collect the Treasure. It will look like a golden sparkle in the ground. You can dig it up using your axe.
Each Treasure Map adds a mini-quest under Goals > Treasure Maps. There it will show a hint with an image where the treasure is buried. They are usually in the same realm where the treasure map is found, except for one that has the map in Svartalfheim but the treasure in Midgard.
None of the Treasures or Maps are missable. You can still get all of them after the story. It doesn’t matter in what order you do them, the only important thing is that you get the map first to make the treasure itself spawn. Treasures aren’t needed for any trophies but you will need them if you want 100% completion. They are also included in the by-region 100% completion guide.
Below is a list of all treasures with guides to their locations and solutions (in-game menu order):
- Mining Glory

- Demise of Dagestr
- Viking’s Gift
