How to unlock full Lyngbakr Island:
First, we will have to visit Lyngbakr Island. Take a boat there. Upon stepping foot on the island, “Favor: The Weight of Chains” will automatically trigger. You must follow the quest objectives to unlock the full island. Start by destroying the explosive vase between the rubble on the right. Then destroy the Wretch nest, climb up, destroy another explosive vase on the right then climb along the path behind it and pull yourself up. Here you can turn a wheel to lower an elevator, while at the wheel throw your axe at the cog to freeze it, thus holding the elevator in place. Now climb on the right side (where you came from) but this time climb all the way to the elevator. Retrieve your axe to ride the elevator up, then smash through the floor. Kill the enemies, open the red chest to get the key. Go back to your boat, row to The Watchtower, it will be marked by a favor icon. Clear the rubble by exploding another vase, climb up, then use the key on the gate, and interact with the bell to have Atreus shoot an arrow at it. This will reveal the full “island”. You can now dock your boat back at Lyngbakr Island and begin collecting.
#1 – Lore (Lore Marker – Regarding the Removal of Resources)
Lyngbakr Island requires you to cut 3 chains and throw your axe at the locks at the fins of the Lyngbakr. While going through the quest you can also grab the collectibles along the way. After destroying the first lock, continue on the only path forward, after climbing a golden chain turn right to see it.
#2 – Artifact (Kvasir’s Poems – We Who Remain, Part the Second)
From the Lore, turn left and climb up the wall, then turn left again and go all the way to the end. The purple-glowing artifact is there. This is the very top of Lyngbakr Island.
#3 – Odin’s Raven
Go back to the Lore Marker, this time use the grappling hook to swing across the gap, then climb down the golden chain on the left. There’s another Wretch Nest you must destroy, it reveals a vase with explosives you can pick up and throw. Lift the gate on the left, grab one explosive, retrace your steps to the Lore Marker, throw the explosive at the rubble before climbing the gold chain to the Lore Marker. This clears the path, jump over there, to the right of a red chest is a little tunnel, go through it, then turn left to find the Raven on the ledge.
#4 – Legendary Chest (Rönd of Aggravation – Shield Attachment)
Continue with the favor objectives. You must go back to the vase that holds explosives, grab an explosive, throw it at the rubble on the right, grab another explosive and follow the path you just cleared, then aim down at the water to see a boat dock with more rubble on it. Throw the explosive at the rubble at that boat dock. Then go back to your boat and drive to the dock you just cleared. From there you can climb up, defeat the enemies, cut the third chain. Then you have to slide down a rope to break the third lock, after the rope slide the Legendary Chest will be in front of you. It will be in plain sight when you break the third lock, impossible to not see it.
#5 – Favor: The Weight of Chains
Simply finish the favor to complete this in the region overview. After destroying the third lock you only need to row your boat back to the eye of the “island”.
That’s 100% of the collectibles you can find in Lyngbakr Island area in God of War Ragnarok.
