Introduction
Welcome to the Pac-Man World Re-Pac Trophy Guide! Pac-Man World Re-Pac is the remake of the popular game Pac-Man World from the PS1 era. To earn the Platinum, you need 100% completion. The game has one big hub world, called Ghost Island, with 6 different worlds, Pirate Ship, Ruins, Space, Funhouse, Factory, and Boss Mansion. Each World has 3 or 4 levels in which you need to collect all Pac-Man letters to unlock Bonus stages, with the exclusion of the boss level which doesn’t have any. Sometimes these levels have a key, required to free a member of Pac-Man’s family either in the same level or in a subsequent one. The boss levels are very straightforward, and, as in pure platformer fashion, only need three hits to die or take over three different phases. The only exception is the “boss” level from the Funhouse world, which is a race, and not an actual boss fight. During your playthrough, you want to have an almost perfect run of the levels to secure 765k+ points by the end of the game and unlock the Magic Key. If you don’t have a grand total of 765k+ points collected by the endgame, you can always try to get a better score in some levels where you know you can do better. In addition, you have to play through many Maze Stages, a refreshed take on the retro puzzles, and their Marathon Mode. There are also a bunch of miscellaneous trophies, most of which will unlock almost naturally as you play through the game. While all of this is pretty simple and straightforward, the real challenge is Original Pac-Man, which unlocks after you beat the final boss. Refer to Retro Gamer for more information.
Step 1: Complete Each World, Collect All Pac-Man letters, Complete a Bonus Level from Each World and Finish the Game with 765k+ Points
Play through the levels and grab as many Pac-Man letters as possible. Collecting all Pac-Man letters unlocks the bonus level. Each world has a different bonus level, but it’s the same across all levels of that world. For the Platinum, you need to collect all fruit in at least one bonus level for all worlds. You also want to play all levels, including the boss ones, to almost perfection in order to secure 765k+ points by the end of the game and unlock the Magic Key. If you don’t have a grand total of 765k+ points collected by the endgame, you can always try to get a better score in some levels where you know you can do better
Step 2: Complete all Maze Stages and the Marathon Mode
Now that you’ve finished the story, go to the beach in the Pirate Ship world and interact with the signpost to play all Maze Stages and their Marathon Mode. As you complete each set, you’ll unlock a world-specific trophy and completing them all in one go will unlock Maze Master.
Step 3: 99 Extra Lives, Kill-Related, Speed Racer and Space Ace Trophies
Now play level 5-1 over and over again to collect the three lives at the start if you still need to get to 99 and work on unlocking whichever kill-related trophies you might have left. Additionally, if you haven’t unlocked them yet while in the story run, replay levels 3-4 and 4-4, respectively without dying and within 1:40 minutes.
Step 4: Retro Pac-Man
Time for the most challenging trophy of the game, the one that will make or break the Platinum: Original Pac-Man. Refer to Retro Gamer for more information

Retro Gamer Clear round 9 of original PAC-MAN. |
![]() |
This trophy is the sole reason as to why this is a challenging platinum. Without this trophy, the game would be a 2/10. Clearing all 9 levels in Original Pac-Man is no easy feat. Here’s why:
The only way to increase your odds of clearing all 9 levels of Original Pac-Man is by knowing which way to go and learn the routes by heart. Learning them goes a long way, but you still require a great deal of luck, skill, and muscle memory to beat all 9 levels. Luckily, over the years, the community has found the best routes to take to avoid detection. For optimal routes see this guide. Once you’ve memorized the routes for all 9 levels and you execute them flawlessly, with a bit of luck you’ll unlock this trophy. |

Open Sesame Get a Magic Key. |
![]() |
The Magic Key allows you to unlock doors in levels without needing a corresponding fruit or key. To get it, you have to score a total of 765k+ points in your playthrough. This means an almost perfect run of all leves, collecting everything they have, killing every Ghost (both in the levels and the Mazes) and every enemy, so bascially not missing out on anything. You can check how many points you have by pressing ![]() |
||
![]() |
Invincible Get 99 or more extra lives. |
![]() |
The best way to get to 99 lives is to replay level 4-1 when you can grab three lives right at the start. Once you’ve collected the three lives, you can leave the level and restart it. |
Dan28 says
How do you unlock the Fever trophy in the slots. I tried getting all three bells and nothing happened?
Nico says
The guide is wrong here. You need to finish the level with exactly 1000, 2000, 3000, etc points. Then the slot machine will be just fruit. That will unlock the trophy.
FranciRoosters says
Which level exactly? The bonus one?
Nico says
Any main level. The slots appear at the end of any level. It’s easiest on 1-1 though.
Nico says
Regarding Boom! Boom! BOOM!, the guide is wrong here. You need to defeat 100 enemies by collecting a Shockwave Pellet and then buttbounce. Only some levels like 1-3 have them.
FranciRoosters says
You’re correct. I fixed it when I realized during my second playthrough.
nathan says
this one can be done super easily in king galaxian as there is a bomb dot about 15 seconds into the level, simply blow up all the enemies on the screen, exit level, and repeat:)
FranciRoosters says
Yes, it’s in the guide.
nathan says
the magic key only takes 750k points!! i was stressed when i got to the mansion world with 700k but ended up getting the magic key after finishing ghostly graveyard
FranciRoosters says
Thank you, but not quite. In my first playthrough I score a total of 753k points and yet I didn’t earn it. In my second playthrough, I score a total of 771k and I earned it.
DoctorBaofu says
It seems to be 765k. I had 764k after the final boss, but didn’t get it. Saw a comment on a youtube video that said it was 765. I replayed the first level, because I only had 9k on that level, and knew I missed the fruit on the statues head at the end. Ended the level with 11k and a total score of 766,965 and got the key.
FranciRoosters says
Thank you
Dan says
Why does it say you need to replay the entire game if you don’t have enough points for the magic key by the end of the game? Can’t you just replay certain levels to get a higher score?
Also at the top you say there are zero missable trophies but for the Magic Key you say you have to play the entire game again.
Nico says
Yes, you can just replay levels to reach a higher score.
Brandon says
Retro Gamer is the most challenging trophy to earn. I gave up on it even though it’s the final one that I need.
Andre says
Nah. Retro gamer is ass. You get ONE extra life for 10,000. It doesn’t reward every 10,000 like the actual game.
DenzoPM says
To be honest, Kena’s Master Difficulty is way harder than this. The patterns for the ghosts are exactly the same between rounds, and can easily be cheesed by copying the same pattern that other trophy hunters did (via YouTube). Definitely not a 7 difficulty, more like a 5.
TheGeek says
Noticed on the Bowling for Bad Guys Trophy a good area to get the trophy is World 2-1 – Crisis Caverns has 26 enemies you can use the roll attack on. Hope this helps
