A Piece of the Action is a Main Mission in Saints Row (2022 Reboot). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the A Piece of the Action story mission.
Quest Giver: JR
Requirement: Complete Observe and Report
Reward: $1,000 Cash, 3,000 XP, Idols Anubis Helmet, Jimrob’s Garage, Cash Transfer App, Vehicle Customization
Mission Info: I’ve got trouble with the Idols and need your help.
Objectives:
- Meet with JR
- Go to the Idols’ camp
- Explore the party
- Find Sherryl in the snake mask
- Find Martin headbanging
- Find Timmy O near his bike
- Find JR’s container
- Defeat all the enemies
- Steal the buggy
- Attach tow cable to container
- Return to JR
- Clear out the remaining Idols
- Talk to JR
- Defeat the Idols
- Talk to JR
Meet with JR
JR (your driver from the prior mission) wants to speak to you about something. Head over and meet up with him.

Go to the Idols’ camp
He’s wanting to get into business with a garage, but some Idols have stolen his supplies. Head over to the camp nearby once you get the location.

Explore the party
Head inside the marked entrance, and make your way towards the area with all of the tents ahead.
Find Sherryl in the snake mask
After automatically speaking with an Idol on the way in, you’ll need to find a few people to speak to about the parts. The correct person will have a waypoint marker over your head when you get close to them, so you know you’re correct. First, the idol wearing the snake mask, they can be found under the tent on the southeast side of the circle.
Find Martin headbanging
Next, you need to find Martin who is headbanging. He’s standing under the tent on the north side of the circle.
Find Timmy O near his bike
Finally, you need to find Timmy O who is working on his bike. He’s easy to find, because he’s the Idol marked with the red skull on your minimap, located on the southwest side of the circle.
Find JR’s container
Timmy O lets you know the location in the camp where the parts are kept, so head over there, following the neon rope light around the back of the building.
Defeat all the enemies
There are some Idols by the container who don’t seem to want you to have it, deal with them to progress.
Steal the buggy
Hop in the nearby marked buggy.
Attach to cable to container
The bug comes equipped with a tow cable, which you can attach to an item behind you with 
. Use it to attach the container to the buggy.
Return to JR
Now that you’ve got the parts, drive the buggy back to where you met JR before. You’ll be chased by Idols on the way, and you can use the attached container to take them out.
Clear out the remaining Idols
Before you can go in and talk to JR you’ll need to deal with any of the remaining Idols that had been chasing you.
Talk to JR
Head inside the construction area and speak with JR.
Defeat the Idols
More Idols will show up to attack the area, and you need to go deal with them now. They’ll spawn in a couple vehicles at a time, so just take them out as they appear.
Once you get down to the last few watch out for if any are hanging out a bit down the road, a couple seem to like getting stuck farther away, and you might need to go over near them to deal with them.
Talk to JR
Once all the Idols are dealt with you can head over and speak with JR once more to complete the mission.
