Gear Up is a Side Quest in Assassin’s Creed Origins. This walkthrough shows how to complete the quest.

Region: Siwa (obtained automatically after finishing the first main quest)
Reward: 500 XP
Objectives:
- Craft a breastplate
- A breastplate requires Soft Leather. It can be found on certain animals.
- Open the Gear Page to upgrade your breastplate.
This side quest is the basic introduction to hunting and crafting. It requires you to obtain a total of five pieces of Soft Leather. If you might have obtained some from looting earlier, you only have to get as many as you’re missing to five. The game will teach you how to use Senu, your eagle. Call him with 
and once you have found some eligible animals wandering around, track them with 
. You will most likely find a flock of gazelles not too far away. Track them and kill them with your bow from a certain distance. Once you have looted enough animals with 
, simply go to the menu’s Gear Page, hover over the breastplate on the lower right-hand side and press to upgrade it. That will conclude the quest and net you 500 XP.
