Nights of Lights is a Errand Quest in Horizon Forbidden West (HZFW). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Nights of Lights errand quest.
Location: Hidden Ember
Quest Giver: Stemmur
Quest Level: Level 22
Requirement: Must have completed main quest “The Sea of Sands”.
Reward: 3670xp, 1 Skill Point
Mission Info: Stemmur needs Aloy to recover an Old World gizmo from one of the ruins in the underground dome.
Objectives:
- Go to the Underground Ruin
- Search the Ruin for the Gizmo
- Search the Ruin for the Door Code
- Gather the Gizmo
- Deliver the Gizmo to Stemmur
Starting Location: Hidden Ember
Go to the Underground Ruins
Go down the elevator shaft into the Dune Hollow, you can just jump down and glide before you reach the bottom to make it faster, then leave the shaft and move onwards.
Rappel or glide down in this room and proceed forward into the big dome room.
In the dome, proceed to the south-east of the room, there are a few machines along the way. You will come to this building, go inside:
Search the Ruin for the Gizmo
Inside the building go the back to see a locked door, Aloy will comment about needing to find the code.
Search the Ruind for the Door Code
If you wish to skip this part you can put in the code 739135 and simply unlock the door. If you want to find the code normally, follow the below.
Just to the left of this door and up is a grapple point leading to the next floor.
Scan the datapoint just here, it will give you the half of the code if you read it, the last three digits being 135.
Just on the left of this datapoint is an opening you can climb through to the other side. From here, go just to the right, climb up here, and pull the crate directly ahead off of the top of the other crate, allowing you to pull out one of the crates where both of them are stuck.
Now pull the other crate out, and put it next to the fence just next to where you pulled it out of. Climb on top of it and pull the other crate back that you pulled just a moment ago so it drops down allowing you to pull that one out of where it was stuck as well.
Next pull one of the crates and place it next to the ramp on the left, pull the other one up the ramp and push it on top of the other crate so they are stacked together like so.
Pull the stacked crates next to the fence ahead, below the opening.
There is another opening in the fence next to them, pull the crate behind the fence here so it drops down, then climb the crates and drop down behind the fence.
Pull off the vent here, go inside and follow to the other side.
After you exit the vent, look right and pull down this wall.
Inside this room is another datapoint on the desk, scan and read it, you will get the first half of the code, 739.
Gather the Gizmo
Now go back to the locked door and input code 739135, grab the Gizmo from inside this room on the desk.
Deliver the Gizmo to Stemmur
Now go back the way you came to the elevator shaft. Look up and jump then grapple to this point.
Turn around and grapple to this one.
Turn left and climb up to the next beam here.
From this beam jump on the ladder ahead, climb to the top, turn around and use the grapple point here.
Turn around and use another grapple point above, then exit the shaft to the left.
Now talk to Stemmur and the quest will be complete.
