Introduction
Welcome to the White Shadows Trophy Guide! White Shadows is a fun 2D platformer with a noir style focusing on the topic of animal mistreatment where you play as Ravengirl, an anthropomorphic raven who ventures into the eerie and dystopian world of a factory-looking city which plagues its bird inhabitants. The game is very short and can be easily finished in one sitting. All trophies are obtainable in one playthrough and none of them are missable thanks to the Checkpoint Selection menu. Once you’ve crossed a Checkpoint, it becomes immediately available for reload and you can jump between different Checkpoints at any time, even during your first playthough. The only thing to watch out for are the platforming sequences that require you not to die, but these are very forgiving and can be retried at any point through the Checkpoint Selection menu.
Step 1: Finish the game while unlocking as many trophies as possible
Finish the game while unlocking as many trophies as possible. Refer to the trophy descriptions below for strategies on how to make it past those sequences that require you not to die. Alternatively, you can clean up everything via Checkpoint Selection after the story.
Step 2: Clean-up (optional)
Refer to the trophy descriptions below to determine which trophies you’re missing and reload the respective Checkpoints to unlock them.

Checkpoint 7/20
To avoid getting caught inside the Coocoo House, you need to use whichever environmental aid you have to hide from the spotlights in the background. With patience and timing, this trophy is not too bad. Here’s a list of the suggested strategy for each of the spotlight found on your path:
After getting past the second stack of crates and reaching for the stairs, this trophy unlocks. |

Here are all the possible ways to die in White Shadows and the Checkpoints to reload to unlock them. Some may not be needed, but to be safer than sorry we’ve decided to include them all.
NOTE: if you’ve died in all possible ways before game version 1.03, the trophy / achievement won’t unlock retroactively. You have to die in all possible ways again using the Checkpoint Selection menu. |

Checkpoint 4/20
During Checkpoint 4, you’ll have to solve a puzzle featuring 4 different animal heads impaled on a rotating platform. After powering up the puzzle at the ground floor (accessible through the hatch at the start of the area), make your way back up and interact with the two levers. The left lever selects which ring is going to stop or move whereas the right lever moves or stops the selected ring. The goal here is to align all heads. When they are, the platform will automatically rotate to face the cage. Then, place the chick behind you on the floor switch near the cage and interact with the ground lever. When the last hammer is being swung, you will unlock this trophy. Now you can reload the Checkpoint and take care of the other trophy you can snag with this puzzle |

Checkpoint 12/20
For this trophy you are supposed to defeat the giant wolf-headed, mechanically-armed robot at the start of Funworld. This trophy can glitch in your favor as it could unlock at the start of the chapter instead. |

I went train spotting Survive the train rides without dying. |

Checkpoint 6/20
During Checkpoint 6, you will have to board different trains as part of a moving platforming sequence. To avoid dying, you have to board the train any time you see a new one, jump over the neon lights and crouch whenever you see metal sheets that would otherwise crush you. This trophy will unlock when the giant wolf contraption eats you. |

Checkpoint 9/20
During Checkpoint 9, you’ll have to make it down a long slide to access a new area with a neon sign saying Battery Maker 2000. To unlock this trophy, you want to first lure as many chicks as possible to the very far left of this area, by the wall. Once they are in a small bundle, make it back to the lever that’s between the two lamp platforms. Pull it when ALL chicks are on the left platform. This requires a bit of timing because all chicks must make it inside the Battery Mater. If all lamps are on, but even one single chick is out, the trophy won’t unlock. This trophy is annoying because the timing is very tight. You can always reload the Checkpoint to try again. |

You got a friend in me Catch the first chick and take it with you |

Checkpoint: 2/20
This trophy is slightly luck-dependent. At some point during Checkpoint 2, a giant aircraft will be flying over you. Immediately after, you should notice a tiny chick peeping and coming out of a small hole in the ground. When you see it, stop and let it hop towards you, let it get as close to you as possible. This is pretty random and very much luck-dependent, so it could take a few tries. If the chick pulls back into its hole, step back a bit and try again. The objective here is to grab it and hold it with |

Checkpoint 9/20
At the end of Checkpoint 9, you’ll eventually land in an area where tons of chicks will start gluing to you. When here, wait a couple of minutes until you’re completely covered in chicks. Then, continue to the left and sprint for the hook. All those chicks should end up in the muncher and the trophy unlocks. |

Disappointing to see glitched trophies on launch, hopefully fixed soon!
FranciRoosters says
An update should be released some time this week according to the devs.
Daniel says
Can confirm that all previously glitched trophies are now obtainable with update 1.03 (17/12/21)
RuffioLostBoy says
Seems like I Will Follow You has been removed? It’s not on my PS5’s list at all. Can anyone confirm?
Bruno says
I confirm, it’s not in my trophy list
Bruno says
Can anyone tell me how they achieved Lord of the Birds? I’ve replayed checkpoint 15 at least three times without dying and the trophy won’t unlock. I’m on the latest version (1.03)
Armando Peixoto says
your right, its not on my list too.
Jeff says
You Need Checkpoints 14 and 15
ziggurcat says
As a potential alternate to the “You Went Too Far” trophy: I got it by standing with all of the chicks around me on the left and jumping up repeatedly – the chicks get sucked into the turbine, and I guess after X amount of them get killed, the trophy popped.
PhantomFear94 says
Can confirm this works as of 1.03
ziggurcat says
Anyone know why they removed the “I Will Follow” trophy?
iTRook-199 says
Not sure why but they replace it with Lord of the birds, the most annoying trophy!
ziggurcat says
Also – “That’s Unfortunate” popped for me when I got killed by fire in the Funtown trials.
PhantomFear94 says
Something very helpful to note is that Lord of the Birds is essentially unmissable as long as you quit out IMMEDIATELY after death, before screen goes black. Did this 4-5 times, dying in various ways, and still got Lord of the Birds ‘first time’. You don’t need to be perfect, just very prompt at quitting to menu.
YolandaRaya says
This worked! Thank you so much, it was driving me crazy! ?
PallasCat says
Just chiming in to say that I can confirm this still works – just immediately pause the game when you die then quit the game to the PS5 dashboard and go straight back in. “Died” about 3-4 times and the trophy still popped for me.
PhantomFear94 says
Can confirm, came to comment the precise same thing.
