Life is Strange True Colors has 29 Collectible Locations (25 Memory Locations and 4 Side Quests). There are 5 Memories per Chapter (the game consists of 5 Chapters total). Additionally, Chapter 2, 3, and 4 contain quick and easy Side Quests. Each Memory and side quest unlocks a trophy! After finding all the Memories in each chapter, you earn an additional gold trophy for having found all in that chapter. The Platinum trophy basically consists of grabbing all collectible Memories and completing all available side quests as you play through the story.
None of the Collectibles are missable! Your choices also don’t affect any Collectibles, you always end up in the same areas. After completing each Chapter, you unlock Chapter Select in the main menu. This allows you to replay any scene you want and go for whatever trophy you’re still missing. This won’t overwrite your story progress, nor will it overturn Alex’s choices. You can track which ones you found and which ones you’re missing via Chapter Select and also via the trophy list / achievement list (since each one unlocks a unique trophy it’s easy to track that way). Side Quests aren’t tracked in Chapter Select but they’re all included here in the guide because you need them for trophies.
Once you get close to a Memory or available side quest a white circle will appear. To interact with it, you need to use Alex’s power by holding and then when you’re close to the collectible. As soon as the cutscene starts or you complete a side quest, the trophy will unlock.
IMPORTANT: The trophy Haven Historian for finding all Collectibles can only be earned while playing online, so that the game can upload your choices to the servers. It’s unobtainable offline! All other trophies can be earned offline. You just need to go online before the final Memory, it’s okay to collect the first 24 offline.
Chapter 1 – A-Side
Memory #1: A Letter to Riley (Scene: “I’m Okay”)
In the room where you have to unpack your backpack (unmissable story objective, about 30 minutes into the game). Use + to look at the letter on the desk, across from the bed on which you must unpack your backpack.

Same room as above, look at the Crack in the wall below the Tiger Post & Biker Poster. Next to the staircase.

Head downstairs to the bar. Go to the back of the bar where the red Exit sign is and you’ll find the Umbrella by a coat hanger.
Memory #8: Rent Check (Scene: Tracking Down Mac)
Still inside the bar, you’ll find the Rent Check behind the counter.
Side Quest #1: Birdwatcher (Scene: Tracking Down Mac)
When you exit the bar, head to the park on the other side of the road. By the entrance, (a wooden archway with two bells) is a woman with binoculars. She is the Birdwatcher. Use your power to initiate this mini quest that requires you to find her bird. To the left side of the park is a wooden building. Go to the back of this building and look up to the big tree to find the bird. Interact with it and then return to the woman. This finishes the quest and unlocks the trophy.
Side Quest #2: Hoodie Guy (Scene: Tracking Down Mac)
Enter the Record Store and use your power to interact with the Hoodie Guy. Next, interact with the Bulletin Board which is left of the turntable. This will unlock a new dialogue option with the Hoodie Guy. Go back to him and speak with him. This will finish this mini quest and unlock the trophy.

Chapter 3 – Monster or Mortal
Memory #11: Bomber Jacket (Scene: It’s a Simple Plan)
At the start of the chapter, while still inside the bar, head to the back where you’ve picked the Umbrella during Chapter 2. In the same location is the Bomber Jacket.
Side Quest #3: Student’s Lost Song (Scene: It’s a Simple Plan)
Inside the bar is a student sitting opposite the counter. If you use your power on her, she’ll start singing a song. This song is the second song in the Jukebox which is currently missing. After interacting with the girl, approach Steph and Ryan and press to ask for more information about the song. They will tell you to ask Jed about it, the bar owner. Approach Jed, who is sitting at a table by the door, and press to have him tell you the location of the song. The song can be found sitting below the monitor behind the counter. Take the song, approach the Jukebox to play it and unlock the trophy.
Memory #12: Dollar (Scene: Thaynor, Monster Slayer)
After the “fight” with the “Wolf” (unmissable, story-related), check the ground by the bench to find the Dollar bill.
Memory #13: Appointment Slip (Scene: Thaynor, Monster Slayer)
During your search for the jewels (unmissable, story-related), head back to the bar (The Black Lantern). You’ll find the Appointment Slip on the ground by the entrance.
Memory #14: Old Paper (Scene: Thaynor, Monster Slayer)
Enter the bar (The Black Lantern). After talking to the “Old Gnome”, you’ll find the Old Paper on a table in the back by the pool table.
Memory #15: Valkyrie’s Dish (Scene: Thaynor, Monster Slayer)
During your search for the jewels (unmissable, story-related), enter the Record Store. After talking to Steph, check the wooden cabinet by the guitar in the blue case. Valkyrie’s Dish is sitting underneath the cabinet.
Chapter 4 – Flicker
Memory #16: Pressed Rose (Scene: Party Time)
At the very start of the chapter. The Pressed Rose is on the wall by the dining table in your room.
Side Quest #4: Jelly Bean Counter (Scene: The Spring Festival)
Shortly after the start of the chapter, you’ll be at the Spring Festival in the park. Here, near the stage, are a man and a woman. The man is trying to guess how many jelly beans are in the jar. Talk to the man > guess 800 > listen to the woman’s thoughts + > talk to the man again and guess 700 > listen to woman’s thoughts yet again and she’ll think of 731 which is the correct solution. You can now tell the answer to the Jelly Bean Man to finish the quest and unlock the trophy. If you picked different numbers you may need some extra guesses to narrow it down until the woman thinks of 731 but you can’t mess it up.
Memory #17: Drum Kit (Scene: The Spring Festival)
At the Spring Festival, the Drum Kit is in plain view on the stage.
Memory #18: Microphone (Scene: The Spring Festival)
At the Spring Festival, go behind the stage to find the Microphone on the ground.
Memory #19: Polaroid (Scene: The Spring Festival)

When you enter the hospital room where Alex’s mom is in for the first time, Mom’s Keys are by the sink.
Memory #22: Business Card (Scene: Home Sweet Home)
After the hospital, you’ll be in Alex’s parents’ house. As soon as you can walk around, go to the right side, into the kitchen. You’ll find the Business Card in the corner of the kitchen. Be sure to pick it up BEFORE opening the red door where your brother and father are fighting, because doing so would trigger a cutscene that skips to the orphanage (if you open it by accident, reload last checkpoint quickly).
Memory #23: Guitar Strings (Scene: Nobody Picked You)
At the orphanage, you’ll find the Guitar Strings on a lower bunk bed on the left from where you can start moving Alex again.
Memory #24: Pendant (Scene: Nothing Stays Buried Forever)
Unmissable, story-related. The Pendant will be automatically collected as you explore the mines during a cutscene.
Memory #25: Bomber Jacket (Scene: A Knock at the Door)
When you get up from bed, the Bomber Jacket is hanging from a chair at the dining table.
That’s all the Memory Locations and Side Quests in Life is Strange: True Colors.
