Obtained by taking a standard picture of Octillery.
2 Stars: Beach (Day) Research Level 1 – Chow time
On the beach level there is a shortcut partway through. On the left in the shortcut is an Octillery, feed it with a fluffruit and snap a picture.
3 Stars: Undersea Research Level 1 – A bit unusual!
On the seafloor you will get to the portion where you dive deeper but before that there is a Wailmer that screams at an Octillery and the Octillery scurries away. Take a picture of the scurrying Octillery.
4 Stars: Beach (Night) Research Level 2 – A counterattack!
Heading down the main path you will come across an Octillery on a platform with a Seviper bullying it. Use an illumina orb on the Crystabloom and Octillery will ink spray Seviper. This is its 4 star pose.
