- 1 Stars: Park (Day) Research Level 1 – Nice and calm
Obtained through a default picture of Pikachu in the second open area.
- 2 Stars: Beach (Day) Research Level 1 – Chow time
Obtained by taking a picture of Pikachu while it is eating.
- 3 Stars: Beach (Day) Research Level 1 – A lost object?
Obtained by luring the Pikachu in the last area to the shovel at the edge of the water. Once it gets near it the Pikachu will become curious, this is the time to take the picture.
- 4 Stars: Beach (Day) Research Level 3 – Stunfisk surfing!
In the final area lure the Pikachu on the beach across the water onto a small strip of land with a Stunfisk on it. The Pikachu will run over to the Stunfisk and jump on it and surf for a very short time, this is its 4 star pose.

You can get a 4 star Pikachu picture in Reef Day Level 2. You need to take a picture of Pikachu riding on Mantine. I didn’t do anything special, just happened to catch it in 2 different spots (one being near the end of the course). Hope this helps.
