Quest Giver: Sebastian ‘Padre” Ibarra
Requirement: Street Cred Level 1
Reward: €$3170 / 565 XP / Street Cred XP
Mission Info: Gig type: Gun for Hire
Target: Gustavo Orta
Location: Building on Pertrel St.
Details:
The world is built on certain rules. Rules that don’t appear out of nothing – which grew from the blood and mistakes of our predecessors. These rules are meant to protect us, but the young disregard them. They believe they are special, that they are not held to the same rules, that fate is theirs to tempt.
Martha Frakes believed the same and now sleeps in a coma after taking a bullet to the head. The streets tell me this is her punishment for abandoning family. The girl turned from her own father, Nolan Frakes, to side with the enemy – Gustavo Orta.
But what the street says doesn’t matter – not to Nolan. He believes Gustavo is solely responsible for what happened to his daughter. Let’s fulfill the wish of a father desperate for revenge. He’s paying, after all.
Go to Gustavo’s apartment. Deal with him. Don’t worry about authorization. My netrunner made sure you don’t run into any problems.
And FYI – if you hadn’t caught on yet – Gustavo is Valentinos, Noland is 6th Street. Stay sharp.
Objectives:
- Go to Gustavo’s apartment
- Go to the 32nd floor
- Go to Gustavo’s apartment
- Find Gustavo
- Neutralize Gustavo
- Convince Gustavo to leave town [optional]
- Leave the apartment complex
- Collect your reward from the Drop Point
Starting Location: Bring Me the Head of Gustavo Orta
Gig: Bring Me the Head of Gustavo Orta starts in City Center (Corpo Plaza).
Go to Gustavo’s apartment
Your target in this gig is Gustavo Orto, who is on an upper floor in the marked apartment building. There are a couple ways you can go about completing this gig, even doing it entirely peacefully if you want, but the reward is the same regardless.
Go to the 32nd floor
Take the elevator in the back right to go up to the required apartment floor.
Go to Gustavo’s apartment
The door to the apartment is just to the right. Here you are able to decide how you want to go about getting in.
If you are playing as STREETKID you can interact with the intercom and say you were sent by Padre, which gets you inside totally peacefully. Alternatively, if you have a high enough BODY attribute you can force you way inside, then sneak past the Valentinos to get upstairs. If you can’t do either of these, then you can open the shutter to the left to get outside, then climb onto the balcony.
Find Gustavo
Gustavo is in the office on the upper floor, which you reach either using the stairs inside or can be reached by jumping to the second level balcony outside.
Neutralize Gustavo
In the office, you can just take out Gustavo if you want, or alternatively, you can talk with him.
Convince Gustavo to leave town [Optional]
If you haven’t triggered combat on your way up, you can talk to Gustavo.
You can convince him to leave town, which he then lets you leave without combat, and fulfills the requirement.
Leave the apartment complex
Whether you take him out or not, you now need to leave the apartment to complete the gig.
Collect your reward from the Drop Point
If you talked Gustavo into leaving town, you specifically need to go collect your reward from a Drop Point, whereas if you just shoot him then Padre gives it to you right when you leave.
This finishes Bring Me the Head of Gustavo Orta gig in Cyberpunk 2077 (CP77).

Sean says
What was really strange was that Padre seemed to think Orta had killed himself by his own hand in the “Leave Town” option. Maybe V just lied to the fixer?
Ace says
Padre mentioned Romeo and Juliet at the beginning of the quest. Orta probably fake his own death and this outcome is probably referencing this story.
A_Minion says
I went back up and checked on him: he was fine. It was a ruse to get him out of town.
Choom says
I just did this gig and after Padre calls Gustavo killed himself, I went back to check and he was actually dead. In romeo and Juliet, Juliet takes the fake poison which causes Romeo to take actual poison because he things she is gone. I think Gustavo doesn’t believe Martha will survive and really does kill himself. In earlier versions of the game, it was bugged and the suicide didn’t actually trigger.
asdf says
orta attends the funeral and wants you to take a drink with him.
