Since the trophies were released for Wolfenstein 2 The New Colossus, it has been clear that there is a difficulty called “Mein Leben“. There have been rumors and speculation what this difficulty entails.
I can confirm that it is indeed a 1 life permadeath mode WITHOUT checkpoints or manual saves. You must complete it in ONE SITTING without leaving the game. If you die, you have to restart the game from the beginning!!! It is based on “I am death incarnate!” difficulty.
Mein leben difficulty is unlocked after beating the game for the first time (on any difficulty, the lowest difficulty does suffice).
Unfortunately, it cannot be cheated by replaying just the last chapter. This difficulty can’t even be selected in the pause menu (it only goes up to “I am death incarnate!”). The only way to select it is by starting a New Game.
There are no checkpoints so you cannot back up your save game either. It has to be done in ONE SITTING without leaving the game. Die once and you must replay everything from the start.
Wolfenstein 2 The New Colossus is possibly the hardest game in the series. There are lots of heavy-armored enemies and at certain sections you get swarmed by enemies from all sides. This is going to be extremely challenging. The game isn’t short either, it takes around 10 hours. Furthermore, many of the cutscenes are unskippable. You have to rewatch them on each attempt of Mein Leben.
It’s highly recommended that you do a few test runs on “I am death incarnate!” first to get a feel for enemy spawns, ammo conservation and remember where to find health items.
Most ridiculous of all, beating Mein leben is only worth a bronze trophy.

As we all feared! Rather silly choice from the developers IMO!
Thanks for confirming PowerPyx! ☺️

Sorry about the comment, I C+P’d your comments into a forum and was in my clipboard! Can’t delete it.
Meant to say that it is awful implementation. I understand a challenge, but a 10 hour permadeath achievement in ONE sitting is ridiculous. Maybe, MAYBE I could understand it if the game let you save, but a powercut or crash could ruin this achievement even if you’re good enough.
One of my favourite series’ but fuck Machine Games.

Quit whining mate. Don’t play mein leben if you have a crappy computer or electricity at your house.

No need for that. I’m playing an enjoying on a back-up (although I think it isn’t as good as TNO). I feel its a valid point. It’s completely counter-intuitive to what Wolfenstein is, and negates the challenge.
The fact that no one in the world has this on either console yet shows how ridiculous this trophy is. And the game has crashed on me 3-5 times so yes, it is valid to say about the other factors.

Forget powercuts, the essentially expect us to keep the game on Pause for several days (or weeks) whenever we have to do real things in the real world. That’s your Xbox One constantly on for several days and you can’t play any other games. It’s an utterly retarded achievement.

Well, it’s is stupid, but I accept it.

Although a bronze trophy for this insane and impossible to do, but probably it will unlock the platinum for most whe can achieve it XD

Even on “Death incarnate”, this game is difficult, more than to previous games (and I’m just finished 2 levels).

This is absolutely ridiculous. Welp, there goes my plat. 🙁

Why? Why is this necessary? WHY?!
Hopefully someone will discover a glitch for this.

If you start a new game, will you be able to keep your perks from beating the game before

hopefully this is all a joke.
imagine : the vault opens and there’s a happy message that tells us “mein Leben” is able to save 🙂
