Vantage Datapoints are a type of Collectible in Horizon Zero Dawn. There are 12 of them in total scattered around the open world. Finding all of them unlocks the trophy “All Vantages found” (Found and accessed all of the Vantage datapoints).
You can buy a map for their general areas at any merchant. This doesn’t give you the exact location, only a rough search area. The Vantage Datapoints are on high platforms overlooking huge open areas. So usually you must climb up mountains or rocks to reach them. There’s always a supply box right next to them which contains a fair amount of Metal Shards. This makes them a good resource for some quick cash. They look like a purple icon when you go near them. Press R3 to activate them. This will let you look into the past and show you what the game world looked like in ancient times.
Each Vantage Datapoint has its own unique name which you can look up in the Notebook (press Touchpad). There you can also see how many you’ve found.
The collectibles are not saved automatically. Meaning you must reach a checkpoint or campfire to save the progress.
