The Tax Master is a Side Quest in Assassin’s Creed Origins. This walkthrough shows how to complete the quest.

- Find and rescue Harkhuf from Fort Nikiou
- Find and get the key from Sefetu

Rescuing Harkhuf from Fort Nikiou is harder than you might think. There are a shocking number of guards everywhere, on the walls, patrolling the buildings, just guards everywhere. Your best bet is to try to make a stealthy entrance and then pick off as many as you can before things get loud.
There is a secret entrance to the Fort through a tunnel that leads to a nearby canyon. Use Senu to find it if you’re having trouble. The tunnel leads to a corpse disposal for the fort, which really says a lot about how many corpses that they have to dispose of that they built one.
Climb up, and do whatever you can to stay hidden. Harkhuf’s cell isn’t far from the well, but there are a lot of guards between you and he, so take your time. Once you finally get there, it turns out it’s even harder than you think.
You need Sefetu’s key to open the door to the cell, so your assault on Nikiou is about to get even more dangerous. Hopefully you’ve managed to thin the herd a little, because combat with Sefetu will almost certainly draw unwanted attention. The only real way to avoid that is to ensure everyone else in the area is dead. Once you’ve killed Sefetu, you can loot his body for the key.
Go back to his cell to Rescue Harkhuf (who is very happy to see you.)
Again, hopefully you’ve cleared a path out for him, because Harkhuf runs for the exit and relies upon you to protect his escape. Once you are a safe distance away, he will stop. Talk to him to complete the quest.
