Rites of Anubis is a Side Quest in Assassin’s Creed Origins. This walkthrough shows how to complete the quest.
Recommended Level: 23
Region: Saqqara Nome
Reward: 2250 XP
Objectives:
- Follow Nefertari
- Find and ignite the three ceremonial torches
- Speak to Nefertari
You’ll run into Nefertiri on the outskirts of Nitiria, who tells you that the area is cursed since his disappearance. She needs his help to restore the balance.
Bayek must go to the three shrines and light the torches to Anubis to lift the curse that is causing people to die in the area. There are three in total. One at a well just north of Natiria, one in the Bent Pyramid, and the last to the south.
The well is closest, so we’ll start there. It looks like the torch has fallen or been knocked over, tumbling into the water below.
Keep investigating, and it will seem like this was no simple accident.
Eventually you’ll find the head of the torch at the bottom of the water below. Once you have this piece, return to the platform and fix the torch.
As you repair the torch however, you’ll find a charm to Anubis hidden among the debris. A clue?
Next comes the torch to the south, which is in the middle of a Hyena Lair. Kill them all and descend into the crevice.
Light the second torch, and… what’s this? Another clue?
Last but not least, venture into the Bent Pyramid to find the last torch. Sure enough, more charms.
Once you’ve lit all three torches, return to Nefertari to see if she can make any sense of what you’ve found.
When you return to Nefertiri to report your success, you will find her praying to Anubis for forgiveness. The Rites of Anubis quest will be complete, but the quest When Night Falls will be added to your quest list automatically. It seems Nefertiri needs your help again, since she has her hands full trying to avoid the divine wrath of Anubis. No pressure though, its only your fault that they’re cursed after all…
