Bayek is looking for information about the Curse which currently spreads over Thebes. He is hoping to get some from the priestess Isidora, who will eventually point him to the farmlands, where one of the undead Pharaos recently was seen.
Once we arrive at the scene, we have to investigate the area for clues on how the locals escaped the Pharaoh’s wrath. Two clues, a child and a man questioned by guards (as seen below) will reveal that a local priest by the name Djehuty has saved them from the curse. He was taken captive by guards, however. Now it’s up to us to free him.
Djehuty will be held hostage in an outpost not too far away. There are roughly 15 enemies guarding the camp, including a captain (if you haven’t cleared the outpost before this mission). Try to pick off as many enemies who are standing alone from a distance. The longer you will stay undetected, the easier it will get to clear out the complete hideout.
Once you have cleared the threat, free Djehuty by pressing and escort him out of the camp, either on foot or horseback.
In exchange for some more knowledge about the cursed Pharaoh’s, Bayek agrees to complete a small errand for Djehuty before meeting up with him again at midnight. Head over to the nearby Cursed Farm, equip your fire-bombs by holding and burn the three piles which are marked on the screen.
When you have burned the piles, Djehuty wants to meet your for a ritual at midnight. If it’s broad daylight, remember that you can press to change the time of day quickly. Once you can talk to him, pick up the silica from the table and place it on four statues around the large tower. Once you did, equip your bombs again and set the tower ablaze to help to fulfil the ritual.
Djehuty will reveal that an important scroll is stored at the Theban Library and suggests Bayek to read it.
The Library can be entered through a window and only features the one guard shown below.
The third statue you can come across is the one Djehuty described, as it is pointing in a certain direction.
Hold to reveal the exact location of the text-scroll, which sits on a shelf, as can be seen below.
This particular scroll contains another clue. Our next destination will be a sunken temple. Again, hold to reveal the entrance, which is marked by the yellow triangle. Smash through the wall with your sword and dive down even further.
There is a total of six clues to be found there, the important one being the one in the far-right corner (seen from where you’ve entered).
Finding the statue depicted below enables us to travel back to the priestess Isidora and to conclude the quest after a cutscene.
Finishing this quest makes it possible to start a new main quest called The Heretic.
